Great album with iconic tracks such as step into the arena, execution of a chump and precisely the right rhymes. The production and lyricism are great and is overall a very enjoyable listen.
The highs are pretty good but there’s a lot of lows that drag the album down. Mainly the production, most of the tracks RZA produced on this album sounds like shit I made on GarageBand when I was 10 years old. The downfall of RZA’s production is absolutely catastrophic. U-God has got some good lyricism on here but it’s in my opinion hit or miss. Overall it’s alright, not bad but not that good either. The highlights like Rumble are pretty good though.
Very consistent tracklist and great chemistry between Method Man and Redman. Great production and lyricism and is a great album front to back.
Not as good as Return to the 36 Chambers but is still an incredible record.
Wow, this is the first wave 2 Wu Tang album that actually surprised me. Lyricism is sharp, the beats are pretty good. Definitely my favourite wave 2 album so far.
Yeah I didn’t really enjoy this one, the flow is awful and RZA’s lyricism is a lot worse than on other albums like 6 Feet Deep and Wu-Tang Forever. Even the beats are just boring as hell and just have no substance.
This album is actually pretty good. There are a ridiculous amount of skits but other than that the beats and lyricism are great.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this record, it’s a lot better than i expected. The group delivers great lyricism and the production is still pretty good. It is a step down from the group’s masterpiece 6 feet deep as this album leans less towards the horror core vibe 6 feet deep had and the production is weaker but it’s still a great record. Some tracks near the very end get long for whatever reason but are still quality.
Every song on this album is a 10/10
This album is a masterpiece
The lost tapes is an album that contains unreleased songs from the I am… double album that was canceled due to bootlegging. The whole album is great with very strong production from producers such as the alchemist, L.E.S and Kanye West, As well as strong lyricism. Great album front to back and is definitely in his top 5 best albums.
Hip-Hop Is Dead is a very underrated record and has great lyricism and production compared to Street's Disciple. This album has great features and a very unique sound. Most tracks on here are pretty good, with the only duds being Where Are They Now? and Who Killed It? Still a very enjoyable record and a clear improvement over Streets Disciple.
Street's Disciple is a slight disappointment compared to the last 2 albums, Stillmatic and God's Son, which marked his comeback. This album isn't Nastradamus-level bad but has lots of filler tracks and suffers from being a double disc and a very long album. The first disc isn't bad; some tracks have great production and lyricism, but Disc 2 is very boring and has lots of forgettable songs. This album still has some highlights but isn't really an enjoyable album from ... read more
