honestly the best grind album ever imo...
There's so much i love about voices and it's the insane brutality and the insane drumming, with sprinkled inbetween melodic moments like the screamo like sections in 'compassion is dead' and 'outworn'. These things combined with moshable and atmospheric riffs, the extremely short songs and honestly one of the most impressive vocal performances ever make for one of my favourite albums of all time.
thanks to @Witch King Of Dagmar for the rec.
I have just got a lot of recs and it may take me a while to review them all especially with study and all that.
for the album though, I quite like it, crazy heavy and chaotic crust punk, Sludge metal and black metal record combining them to be fast and have a huge atmosphere
cool record
thanks to @Lady6ov6Fire for the rec.
always had origin in the back of my mind but i'm gonna listen now since i got the rec. this is more straight up crazy tech death, stupid fast drumming and just then 800 sweeps which break my mind as an intermediate guitarist.
love the super meaty guitar tone and the prominent use of bass in it.
overall super cool album
ok, so i'm locking in on the reviews now
this album is straight up nutty, like i thought before i listened to it that archspire was technical for the sake of being technical when i heard snippets of their music but i was so wrong. yes, it's technical af but the riffs are genuinely interesting and engaging, so much variety and i also really love the incessant spamming of hamonics. drums are insane but we knew that already and i thought i'd hate the quick, almost rap like vocals ... read more
i'd say hiss is NEARLY as good as voices. voices just has some edge to it that beats hiss but this is still fucking fantastic. insanely brutal and the vocals go extremely hard as per normal because arif is insane. also love the melody that they include on tracks like desolate landscapes and glass shards, honestly just fantastic.
hits so fucking hard. the energy on this is so contagious and I just have to start moshing as soon as I hear any song on this album 🪈🪈🪈
