i listened to this after i listened to Dylan Brady's solo EP. i came back here since this is the last project i have to review from them (other than the remix album that i really dread relistening to..)

this is most likely just objectively bad music. but all i listened to in 2023 was 100 gecs. so i was kind of rigged to like this ep
i will say i like 127 hrs in bed, the guitar is nice and the vocals at first feel really grainy and out of place, but when the distorted drum percussion kicks in it sounds more in place
the vocals here in general do sound pretty grainy throughout the whole thing, but u get used to it if youre used to listening to objectively bad music (me)

at a crazy hour and a half, megatron 2 is just barely worse than the first. while having my favorite babytron song (#CERTIFIED), and having a lot of other bangers, the bloat here brings the score down. around the end of the album gets weaker, and the last two songs are eh

the conglomerate guy does pretty good on his short ep, being only around two minutes per song. id say the last three are definitely worth checking out, but if you’d listen to any songs here id recommend you just listen to the whole thing since it isn’t even 20 minutes lol

the album opens with ‘hot problems’ which has that hard Gupi i loved in the first album, with generally ok Frax singing with a really good verse because they do that for some reason

yn jay & louie ray do pretty good on their collab album ‘The Scouts’, with likely the biggest banger to not that ratio of any yn jay album i’ve heard so far.
