the producers made a really good album with this! ken carson is here too
the beats here are either meh, okay or great - while mostly sounding the same. for the bad songs, in a bad way. not so much for the good songs
i like rage sometimes but this specific genre of it feels so…. empty. other than a few songs on here i really like and ‘yale’, another ken song, this rap genre is really boring. even if ‘a great chaos’ had much more bloat, the highlights on it were ... read more
this is now the second denzel curry and rick ross collab that is the fourth track on an album that i have given a 9/10. oddly specific but they’re both great
dude this beat is disgusting. everybody does good on this song people are just biased against playthatboizay for some reason
heard denzel do this same flow before in another song. but it’s a hard flow so i can’t really complain about that
WHY IS THIS SO SHORT??? crazy beat and for a freestyle they both flow amazingly
still a 10 regardless of project pat not going on here. also it feels really wrong listening to sked without lunatic interlude before lol
said this already but the fact denzel curry rapped over an amen break in his career is such a crazy fact to me
DENZEL RAPPING OVER AN AMEN BREAK????? WHATT.???
i REALLY wanted to like this more than i did, but i don’t dislike it. there’s some pretty eh songs on here, but the highlights is crazy. zatoichi is my favorite right now, i’ve had it on repeat for a bit
i adore denzel’s experimentation here and trying out old style beats while still going for his usual hard trap beats. zatoichi is a great example of this… kind of? the boom bap ish drums at the start then the more ... read more
far better than not all heroes wear capes.
now, i don’t hate not all heroes wear capes - in fact i like it. i just like this significantly more. mostly everything here is an upgrade; most of the beats are better, the features are more versatile with features from john lennon and mustafa, and the rapping performances here are generally better. i won’t go by and analyze every feature, here are some of my favorites:
young nudy did surprising great, in my head i always get scared when ... read more
already??
eh. doesn’t really add anything new. taste would be the worst song on the standard album, and chant and sample are pretty ok. speaking of okok is pretty good actually so i got something out of this
rating is normal and deluxe songs
one of the first albums i had really listened to and loved when i first started listening to rap, Pusha T’s ‘it’s almost dry’ still holds up as a great album today, while not trying to be revolutionary. this album, executively produced by kanye west (not calling him ye) and pharrell williams, which is (was) a crazy lineup. the beats on this album, as i mentioned, don’t try to be with the modern times of trap. instead, pusha t stays in his comfort zone of beats, ... read more
conglomerate guy fimiguerrero continues our theme of having some crazy beats. on this one there’s some more tame ones though, i will say that. fimi usually does good over the tame and insane beats though
i love the beats here that have a chaotic feel like ‘racks up’, and ‘semolina’ feels so.. special. it’s in a way i can’t help but to return to every once in a while. ‘gucci burgers’ is the next insane beat where fimi does good rapping as he ... read more
eh…? i say lancey foux is the goat but im not gonna lie to myself and say this was anything great
don’t get me wrong the highlights here are great, ‘respect’, ‘outtamymind!’, ‘25wagg3dou2’ and ‘b€zerk’ are all great songs and in that sense i guess this listen was worth it? but mannn there’s so much filler here that it just doesn’t feel like anything amazing. and then there’s ’wait in miami’ with a ... read more
amazing album. most of the beats here are energetic and great, some feeling like normal jerk songs and others feeling different
let me start by saying all the features are great. lancey on black & tan is amazing and he’s the goat. the conglomerate guy aka fimiguerrero does great here too, i love his style of rapping. it brings a unique vibe to ‘diamonds’ (which should just be a fimi with a yt feat if we’re being so fr) and finally the other conglomerate guy, len. he ... read more
a lot less repetitive than DO NOT DISTURB, big step up
nemzzz raps pretty good here, experimenting with different flows on songs like dilemma and although there’s only two features they do good. central cee is pretty good as a feature artist and he did good here and i like kyle richh’s voice and it fits the beta pretty well here. speaking of MIAMI is one of my favorite beats here. the production is a big step up from the previous album, more hits and less repetitive
comparing this ... read more
actually a really chill song despite what you'd think
yeah i like this one, khantrast is very hit or miss but this one is def a hit
