This album is definitely better compared to Pink Reign and a slight return to form for Redda, but it still lacks the more meaningful performances and lyrics like heard in DS3 that had a deeper routed meaning as well as some other issues such as the song runtimes and track bloat. The songs on New Planet just have a mostly acceptable performance, but they don't end up leaving me feel much or head anywhere.
Redda's music by all means isn't exactly a lyrical miracle type shit thing but at least ... read more
I would like to give this project a higher score, but it's a little too short in my opinion. Nonetheless, a solid 8 tracks with a nice old-school trap & glo vibe. The outro track could've been a bit better though
Fav songs: Lucid, Vogue, Felt, Wordsdonthurtme
Just listen to the original recorded songs or watch the actual live concert recordings from people on YouTube
Not a terrible tape, but to me its mid especially for the long runtime and mostly boring Gunna performances. This album is probably not for most listeners to bump front to back and some of the beats aren't really my taste either
Fav tracks: Off White VLONE, My Jeans, Drip Too Hard
Long and bloated project that's inconsistent at times. If there were maybe 15 - 20 tracks instead of 25 then maybe it wouldnt get boringly long and have skips. I was hyped for this project when it was rolling out but unfortunately it's not good for a full listen in one sitting
The mixing for the most part is pretty shitty and Redda sounds too lazy to record a song. Most of the beats end up carrying the album for me
Fav tracks: Dranker, Lit, Luigi's Mansion, On Em All, Diamonds, Forest Gump, ... read more
I don't think this is that bad but the production on this album is really inconsistent and Comethazine doesn't seem to be putting in a lot of energy for the majority of this tape
I really like the supertrap/alien songs on here but some of the other stuff gets boring after a couple of listens
Fav tracks: Sunshine Night Time, Senate, Piped Up 2, Two Chains, Cannibal
listening to this hit way different when i was about to graduate compared to before
Original Rating: 55 (or 65 i dont remember)
Edit: This is actually not as bad as I said before but there are still some songs i dont really bother listening to
OG review:
It's an okay EP, just that I end up skipping most songs after listening to half of their duration
Luv Drunk goes so hard though
Kinda disappointing due to the really short tracklist, but at least most of the songs have amazing production and tana shows an unexpected change in sound and direction with his music. I like how there's quite a variety of different types of songs with different types of vibes on this album, from trap songs, to rnb songs, and then acoustic songs. It keeps things interesting while not sounding like a mess of random songs lazily mashed together into one short album in a day
At first I liked where the direction of this album went with the lyrics and BenjiCold's ArnB production but then this album just decided to fall flat on its face with inconsistency and some okay songs
I thought this album would be good because I really enjoyed Summrs' last album "Fallen Raven." Mostly because of the good production, energy, flows, and songwriting that stood out compared to his other music. This album though didn't meet any of my expectations and the tracklist for it ... read more
I was excited for this album after enjoying K Suave's past albums, but this was such a dud due to the long-ass duration of the album and the amount of inconsistency with the quality of the tracklist. A lot of the scrapped, unreleased, and loose singles leading up to this album were very good but the final product was so much different. I feel like Suave's other tapes have better beats, delivery, features, and rollouts than this one.
One of the best songs I've heard all year, I'm really excited for the new potsu album coming up
I think I prefer this over the OG NMH2, I fucking love juiced up/sped-up or nightcore Hi-C songs to death. Any sped-up RCB song just works since their style is so energetic, wonky, and sometimes surreal. Sometimes I get bored of NMH2 since of it's long runtime, so this is just an easier and faster way to digest it
Nothing good by any means but nothing inherently bad, I think y'all are overreacting too much
While the vocal mixes are ass, and there is one bad song on this project, I think SosMula improved his delivery compared to 2HIGH2DIE and OTL Beezy did a good job overall aside from his energy on FOUR HORSEMEN
I don't really notice or care if Beezy is off-beat, some of his hooks and verses are a vibe.
Also I should mention that a lot of the adlibs on this EP are annoying and suck ass, especially ... read more
