U, Me & My Ego is a promising and pleasant debut from Canadian artist Chxrry who is signed under The Weeknd's XO record label. This album is nothing revolutionary at all but it has a few bangers. I do think that maybe just maybe, she shouldn't be writing her own music!!! I think The Weeknd needs to help her out a little bit with that. Some of the lyrics on this album are extremely corny especially on the ballads. Bible is just a cringe song all together, and Groupie's lyrics ... read more
Experimental Rap is an intriguing and entertaining listen from JPEGMAFIA, that I believe is overhated. Though I do believe that a lot of the songs on this album just come and go really quickly, the production on this album is actually really unique and captivating. Dare I say this album is better than Madvillainy. Madvillainy is another album with over 20 tracks and a shorter run time, and I STILL don't get the hype with that album. Hot take, this album is better. There's not a single ... read more
Kim Petras actually..... made a GOOD album??? We are so back. Slayyyter and Kim are keeping hyperpop alive right now since Charli wants to do "rock" music now LOL. This album is in no way better than WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA or BRAT, but this is miles better than Slut Pop with just one song alone. That whale dick song on slut pop is an embarassment and this album is just a huge step-up in every single way. Though this album does have a couple chops (Basketball and Check It) because they ... read more
This 3 track EP from Freddie features two rap bangers and one absolute mid chop. Immigrants and Rabbit Mode further showcase his ability to create good flow and bars. After his success with his LP "Alfredo 2" last year, I was expecting better from him and more tracks for this release. Overall, its fine, but Axxtion is a CHOP.
Favorite Track: Immigrants.
Least Favorite Track: Axxtion.
The Divine Feminine is a lush and engaging soul and jazz rap album that incorporates elements of R&B and Pop Rap. This album is a very vibey and moody listen that I can just put on casually when I'm occupied or relaxing outside in the sun. It feels like such a summer album. The album cover is pretty magical as well and definitely makes this album stand-out more. Though I don't think that Mac had the strongest voice, for the most part, the songs still end up being big vibes. I ... read more
