Chxrry - U, Me & My Ego
78

U, Me & My Ego is a promising and pleasant debut from Canadian artist Chxrry who is signed under The Weeknd's XO record label. This album is nothing revolutionary at all but it has a few bangers. I do think that maybe just maybe, she shouldn't be writing her own music!!! I think The Weeknd needs to help her out a little bit with that. Some of the lyrics on this album are extremely corny especially on the ballads. Bible is just a cringe song all together, and Groupie's lyrics ... read more

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
84

Experimental Rap is an intriguing and entertaining listen from JPEGMAFIA, that I believe is overhated. Though I do believe that a lot of the songs on this album just come and go really quickly, the production on this album is actually really unique and captivating. Dare I say this album is better than Madvillainy. Madvillainy is another album with over 20 tracks and a shorter run time, and I STILL don't get the hype with that album. Hot take, this album is better. There's not a single ... read more

Kim Petras - Detour
80

Kim Petras actually..... made a GOOD album??? We are so back. Slayyyter and Kim are keeping hyperpop alive right now since Charli wants to do "rock" music now LOL. This album is in no way better than WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA or BRAT, but this is miles better than Slut Pop with just one song alone. That whale dick song on slut pop is an embarassment and this album is just a huge step-up in every single way. Though this album does have a couple chops (Basketball and Check It) because they ... read more

Freddie Gibbs - RBT
70

This 3 track EP from Freddie features two rap bangers and one absolute mid chop. Immigrants and Rabbit Mode further showcase his ability to create good flow and bars. After his success with his LP "Alfredo 2" last year, I was expecting better from him and more tracks for this release. Overall, its fine, but Axxtion is a CHOP.

Favorite Track: Immigrants.

Least Favorite Track: Axxtion.

Mac Miller - The Divine Feminine
86

The Divine Feminine is a lush and engaging soul and jazz rap album that incorporates elements of R&B and Pop Rap. This album is a very vibey and moody listen that I can just put on casually when I'm occupied or relaxing outside in the sun. It feels like such a summer album. The album cover is pretty magical as well and definitely makes this album stand-out more. Though I don't think that Mac had the strongest voice, for the most part, the songs still end up being big vibes. I ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
68

Though Don't Tap That Glass is nothing special (at all), I don't think it's absolutely unlistenable. He has MUCH MUCH worse music. This is just a quick little 28 minute album. Even though half of the songs on here are mid or chopped, I do enjoy Don't Tap That Glass / Tweakin and Sugar On My Tongue. I do think that those two songs are bopps. However, outside of those two songs, this album truly has nothing else much going for it. There are a couple other good songs such as ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Goblin
10

Revisiting Goblin after years. Idgaf if this is a hot take or not because I know people LOVE to glaze Tyler, but holy fuck. This album is one of the worst albums I have heard in my entire life. I don't CARE what kind of "concept" this album is, or what he was trying to achieve. This shit is fucking ASS. It's genuinely unbelievable that people are pretending to love this. It isn't even the fact that the lyrics are vile that this album is disgusting, it's because ... read more

Janet Jackson - The Velvet Rope
94

After listening to three torturous Drake albums this morning, I decided to cleanse my ears with the lovely Janet. The Velvet Rope is the first Janet Jackson album that I have listened to, and I have to say that she is beyond talented. As a vocalist, she is extremely underrated and deserves just as much fame as her brother got. She has an impressive range and lot's of soul in her voice. There is no doubt in my mind that this album was ahead of it's time back in the day. The album cover ... read more

Drake - HABIBTI
20

On the 3rd and final album of Drake's mess mass releasing scheme, absolutely nothing is added to the two previous chop albums. Its just the same ai sounding slop with a couple listenable songs, while the rest are absolute garbage. Drake needs to retire. 3/3 of these terrible albums, and drake needs to retire.

Favorite Tracks: Gen 5, Slap The City.

Least Favorite Tracks: The rest

Drake - MAID OF HONOUR
17

If the worst song on your album ISN'T a Sexyy Red feature with a trash sample, DON'T release the album. Following my ICEMAN listen, this album went even more downhill where Drake (a nearly 40 your old man) is trapped inside the body of a 14 year old middle schooler where he sings about hoes and crushes as if he is still a child. However, the worst part isn't even that. The worst part is the fact that nearly every single song on this album is completely unlistenable with ... read more

Drake - ICEMAN
42

ICEMAN marks the first album that I listened to in Drake's excruciatingly long and bloated "Trilogy" which includes 18 tracks of mid and trash and a few listenable standouts. Within these three albums, 14-track MAID OF HONOUR and 11-track HABIBTI are also included which adds up to 43 painful songs with a run-time of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. After listening to this album (which is somehow his best out of all three of the albums), I'm convinced that Drake is ... read more

Kelela - Take Me Apart
100

Fuckkkk itt. Next 10. I'm rewriting this review because I literally CAN'T BREATHE. This album is one of the most INSANE alt r&b albums that I have EVER heard so far in my entire life. She SERIOUSLY put fucking crack in this album. Every single listen gets 1000x better and better and BETTER. Every single track HITS. Even the short ones. Raven is another masterpiece with multiple 10s, but even Raven can't compete with this one. Idk what it issss but this album is literally ... read more

Kelela - Raven
95

Kelela comes back with a sophomore album that challenges her incredible debut album for the title of her best album. Raven can be described as Take Me Apart's darker sister due to the ambience and stripped back production on a lot of these songs. So many of these songs feel exactly like the album cover, drowning in the dark ocean and sinking under, however the actual theme of this album focuses on rebirth and renewal which is very interesting to me. Ravens symbolize wisdom, transformation ... read more

Kelela - Hallucinogen
90

Hallucinogen is an EP that quite literally takes you to another world. This EP is so incredibly well-made, I wish so badly that it was a full length album though. Some of her sharpest and vibey tracks are on this album. Her voice literally pierces your ears in the best way possible on this EP. Each song is an insane vibe and this EP is perfect for a quick late night drive down the highway. Songs like The High, All The Way Down, Gomenasai are beyond vibes. I can listen to those songs all night ... read more

Kelela - Cut 4 Me
84

Cut 4 Me mixtape is the start of Kelela's insane career. This project is a pretty decent starting point for Kelela as she showcases her visions for artistry. Though this project isn't as good as her new work, there's some highlights that shine through and make this mixtape a pleasant experience. I will say, I'm not crazy about the album cover at all... she does have way better ones that match the album's vibe much more. With that being said, A Lie, Floor Show, Enemy, ... read more

Versions Of Me is quite a disaster of an album but maybe it works towards the album's theme at times? Cause she has no specific version of herself? I'm not sure honestly. I honestly don't hate this project but Anitta is often a hit or miss for me. Funk Generation and EQUILIBRIVM ended this album with ease though. With that being said, this album has 20 tracks and 3 of them are trash, and six of them are chops or mid. The other 11 tracks are all pretty decent song and this album ... read more

Anitta - Funk Generation
89

Funk Generation by Anitta is an ABSOLUTE bangerrr of an album. The album cover is a vibeee and this 35 minute, 15-track album is filled with absolute BANGERS. Previously, I had only been familiar with Anitta's recent album, "EQUILIBRIVM" which I really enjoyed. It had a mix of vulnerability and the cultural aspects of it were very refreshing. It felt like a perfect summer album that included bops and reflexive tracks (especially the outro track). I have also visited Anitta's ... read more

North West - N0rth4evr
34

Nepo-baby North West releases a 6-track EP with a total run-time of 11 minutes that feels like a project for a dungeons and dragons group in a grade 6 class. The album cover is generic and basic with 0 effort put into it and the tracks have absolutely 0 effort. The only thing slightly saving this mess is the fact that the production is decent or listenable. Her voice is annoying and the lyrics are bad. And no, this "EP" is not better than BULLY like the biased review bombers claim it ... read more

Lolo Zouaï - PLAYGIRL
80

On PLAYGIRL, Lolo Zouaï showcases her ability to make a captivating electropop album that infuses contemporary R&B within the tracks.... however, the album really doesn't pick up until the second half. I personally thought that some of the songs on this album didn't need to be included. Gummy Bear is by far the worst song in her discography if we don't count VVVIP. The lyrics are corny af, the verses are forgettable and the chorus isn't more interesting than any ... read more

Lolo Zouaï - High Highs to Low Lows
86

High Highs To Low Lows marks the debut album for French and Algerian artist, Lolo Zouaï. And a really fun debut album that this was. For years, I have already known the song Desert Rose due to viral trends and media hype, and I had always thought that song sounded amazing. Recently, she has released a Pt. 2 version of the song on her recent album Reverie which was a much more dark and melancholic version of the original Desert Rose. I do think that both versions are amazing in their own ... read more
