유키카 [YUKIKA] - Time-Lapse
100

It's taken me a long time to fully process this record. While it is just a covers project with and instrumental intro and outro, it feels like a perfect send off for Yukika.

In my opinion, In her short career she managed to become one of the all time greats in the pop genre and this album is a love letter to the genre that allowed her to thrive - City Pop.

Every song is so infectious that you can't help but smile through the whole project and when the record ends it feels like a ... read more

Jaden - 2024: A Case Study of the Long Term Effects of Young Love

Short, but enjoyable. Roses is definitely the stand out on here, but the other 3 songs are fun in there own way, with D.U.M.B being the weakest.

many tiny boxes - TO CAST PEARLS BEFORE SWINE
100

Coming of off their incredible self-titled debut album, many tiny boxes had a very tough job to create something as good as their previous album.
Luckily for us, "TO CAST PEARLS BEFORE SWINE" not only matches the quality of their previous work but surpasses it to deliver what is one of the best, most captivating, and well produced albums I have ever heard.

While I think the self-titled work did a slightly better job at expressing the feeling of insanity and paranoia, this project ... read more

many tiny boxes - many tiny boxes

"Many Tiny Boxes" is as amazing as it is terrifying.

Every song on this album feel like a lot of care was put into them, with the "messy" production all coming together to form an album that for all its stress inducing vocals and sounds, fits incredibly well together as a whole.

Many people won't like this album simply because of the style it is going after, but if you love abrasive and panic attack sounding music, you will for sure love this project.

유키카 [YUKIKA] - 서울여자 [SOUL LADY]

With "Soul Lady" Yukika not only makes one of the greatest debuts of all time, but one of the best pop albums of all time.

From beginning to end, the album entrances you in its beautiful production and amazing vocals. While it is definitely a blend of K-pop and City-pop, Yukika is able to blend the two in a way that makes it sound unique to her, but also very nostalgic, creating a sound that is an absolute must listen to for anyone.

It doesn't matter if you like K-pop, or if it's ... read more

Jaden - ERYS
100

"ERYS" is Jaden at his best. He lets his creativity completely take over and makes something that on a first listen might sound confusing and pretensions, but as you re-listen to the album you start to piece together the story that Jaden is telling with this project, and its predecessor "SYRE."

The songs feel messy, and many don't fit right next to each other on a normal track list. However, Jaden is able to get away with this unconventional structure by using themes and ... read more
