Very very very underrated. I have no clue why this has 78 user reviews when this album contains one of the best songs in both Conor and bright eyes entire discography. Give it a listen, milk thistle is a masterpiece.

This album feels like it was made in like, 2003 by an aging, reflective bruce but no! Really shows his versatility as a performer and a writer, while I still prefer Bruce's rockers, I do quite enjoy his slower tracks. It's reminiscent of some late Johnny Cash.

Favs: "atlantic city" (holy shiiiiit) and "Highway patrol man"

Least fav: "used cars"

Why doesn't anybody bring up born to run, darkness on the edge of town, nebraska, the river and born in the usa as one of the best five album runs of all time?? This is so good???

Favs: "darkness on the edge of town" and "badlands"

Least fav: "candy's room"

Continuing my bruce kick and MAN this guy is good, I absolutely love the vibe of this album and it's so well paced, it's a 40 minute album that feels like twenty.

Favs: "thunder road" (geeeeeeez) and "born to run" (damnnnn).

Least fav: "meeting across the river"
