This is the first Melvins record I've ever listened to, and it's a fairly positive first impression.
It's an interesting enough record. Each song has something in it to keep you interested, and overall the record keeps from walking the beaten bath. Every track has some interesting aspect about them that makes them unique, whether it's cymbals or screaming or anything else Melvins sprinkled into the record. There's truly not a bad song on here. Allow me to preface this by saying that I did actually listen to this album. Right when it came out. Call it morbid curiosity, but something in me was really intrigued by this album. I very much wanted to know what the guy who cooked up "Mask" was doing next. And oh boy.

Twin Fantasy (Face to Face) is a beautifully human album.
First, I have to address the elephant in the room: Twin Fantasy (Face to Face) is a remake of Twin Fantasy (Mirror to Mirror). Face to Face is what Mirror to Mirror should've sounded like in the first place. This album is what Will Toledo wanted to make back in 2011. Even just production-wise, the album is a level up, but the lyrical tweaks also give the record a big upgrade.
