THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. is truly a splendid album. In all its grandeur it still remains humble, down to earth and endearing. Most likely as a result of the artist's genuine and heartfelt songwriting. RAYE has been growing onto me for the past months, and this album solidifies her as one of my favourite artists. This is a high contender for Album of the year!
To sum this album up in simple words; it is strong, BOLD, genuine, heartfelt, endearing, artistic and MOVING.
Honestly a bit underwhelming. Don't get me wrong; it is an enjoyable listen to the album, but it is quite forgettable. Peach PRC sticks to her typical sound, but i feel she already delivered her best within this niche, i am wondering if she as an artist has anything else in her. Anyhow, it was still a cute solid moment.
Its hard to take Felanie Floptinez's critique on society, when she herself is a sexual assaulter.
Nevertheless, for the weight of my words, i tried to be as unbiased as I can be, which might be depicted in the track rating. But Felanie again fails to deliver any substance and any freshness to her sound and music, even for her standards the album is lackluster. But it is much better than portals.
Gosh, I came into this album very open-minded, especially since I am a big fan of folk, americana and alt-country. Nevertheless, the album was a tremendous let-down. It was a whole lot of nothing, and a massive bore fest slop. Although the project overall had potential, she fails to flesh out any song into something individual and original.
