I came into Habibti with high expectations, especially after enjoying Iceman. This is just singing Drake, and he's done this before, better.
The production is fine. No huge issues, but nothing out of this world either. It's safe, it's smooth, it's exactly what you'd expect from a Drake R&B project in 2026. The 36-minute runtime actually helps. It's focused and doesn't overstay its welcome. But here's the thing: when an album is this short and I still ... read more
After sitting through Habibti and lowering my expectations just a little, Maid of Honour came through and actually delivered. This is what Honestly, Nevermind should've been, a more hashed out, matured version of that sound. Drake took that club/dance formula, refined it, and made something that actually works.
The production here is fresh and unique. It doesn't feel like Drake recycling the same melodic tricks he's been running for the past few years. This is a fun summer ... read more
I had high expectations going in. First solo album since For All the Dogs, months of livestreams and ice sculpture stunts in Toronto. And Drake actually delivered. He sounds hungry again, like he's trying to prove something instead of just coasting.
This is better than For All the Dogs. FATD felt bloated and all over the place at times, but it was still decent. Iceman is focused. The production is solid. Nothing crazy or innovative, but it's consistent hip-hop production that fits ... read more
After 8 years of hyping, teasing, and an on-and-off rollout, Rocky dropped a dud. I came into this album with low expectations based on the singles, and he just barely met them. Rocky tries to juggle too many genres, and they all end up sounding painfully average. "Punk Rocky" isn't even a punk song; it’s just... weird. "STFU" was the only track I skipped entirely. Furthermore, "Stole Ya Flow" does a terrible job at subtly dissing Drake; if anything, it ... read more
Step up from Kiari, but ultimately, Set It Off remains his best work (not including Without Warning). Some tracks felt like they were Kiari throwaways and other tracks felt filler and boring, overall okish album.
Maybe he's not for me, but this is another Chance project where I'm just not impressed.
Still Praying, the other Wrestling themed album he dropped last year is better.
Metro Boomin did not make it Boom...
We've all gotten used to Metro having the same sounding beats and the same set of features, going into this album I had low expectations, Metro managed to match those expectations. Not because his beats were the same sounding beats that we've gotten used to or because the repetitive features, I feel like Metro did very well, his beats and production on this album were nice, but ultimately? The features have let him down. I don't think ... read more
The Forever Story is still his best work. Yes, JID’s flows are probably as good as ever, but I feel the production on TFS was significantly better. I’m not one to judge albums based solely on lyricism, but JID is very good here. My biggest issue is that JID feels like he’s showing off his skills as opposed to telling a story like he did on TFS. Some tracks feel like filler, and others have very poor beat selection — I expect crazier beats from JID, to be honest. The ... read more
Lana said Pusha does more cocaine than her, and he responded by dropping an album that smells like a brick through the speakers.
This album is incredible. It's dark, focused, sharp, and amazing. The production is great. I was one of the people saying Pharrell fell off, but he proved me wrong here. Every beat sounds like it was built for the verse, not the other way around.
Pusha still sounds as cold-blooded as ever, and Malice sounds like he never left. The back and forth between them is ... read more
I tapped the glass and still walked away underwhelmed.
This album has a very heavy 2000s club nostalgia sound, which is a sound I really love and adore. The production is nice and energetic, but the big issue here is that it has no replay value. That might be fine for some albums, but this specific sound is known and loved for its replay value.
I don’t have much to say about this album other than the fact that it’s one of Tyler’s better projects, yet it still feels ... read more
Imagine naming your album after pasta twice and still not cooking like the first time.
This was decent. Not amazing, not bad. A bit of a step down from the first album. Alchemist’s production was great, but it kind of gets repetitive halfway through. This album feels much more laid-back and chill than its predecessor, which might be more enjoyable for some people.
Freddie is Freddie… he does his thing, rapping his ass off. He spazzes on some tracks like “Lemon Pepper ... read more
We Jacking Boys 2 this one tonight!
On a more serious note, this is bad. This album is genuinely boring. Travis has officially reached the point where he sounds repetitive. Same flows, same robotic auto-tune, and even his energy sounds depleted. I think Travis himself is bored of his own music. This genuinely feels like someone downloaded Rodeo, Utopia, and a few Yeat tracks, then fed them to an AI and said, "Create me an album in the same style."
Once again, it's repetitive to ... read more
Wow, where do I start... Disappointed? yes. Lil Wayne has been hyping this album for a while, but it just misses the bullseye completely. Is it a bad album? no. Is it a good album? Also no. It's mediocre at best, there are some good tracks such as Banned from NO, Cotton Candy and Bells, but then there are atrocious ones such as Peanuts 2 N Elephant and Mula Komin In. The 2nd half, or more specifically from after Flex Up is a fucking shit show. I'm very disappointed in this, I already ... read more
On a first listen, I enjoyed this album. Thought it was Kali's best. On like my 7th listen and wow, this album is amazing...it just gets better with every listen. It's just stunning. From the moment you press play to the last track, ILYSMIH, the album captivates you with its elegance. This album is truly magnificent. It's beautiful, intimate, and personal, but you can still relate to it. Kali here is pouring her emotions out and it sounds fucking fabulous. Everything from her ... read more
As much as i love Key Glock, this sound of his is getting stale and old for me. Would love to see him reinvent himself someway
Good production, bad mixing.
Good features, fuck Travis.
Good album but there’s a lot of filler and throwaways.
