He's done it ladies and gentlemen. 4 projects that are competing for the worst of the year. There's no saving grace, yk when artists say they put blood sweat and tears into their album? Trippie is putting shit, pee and cum stains into his projects. I've genuinely never seen such a consistently ass artist, idek how this dude has fans. I'm not joking when I say I'd rather listen to Dax or NF over him, this is atrocious. No wonder this album went triple cardboard and didn't even chart
Where do i start...
The sampling on here is way too much, it's a sample overload all throughout the album. Yes i get that sampling is now becoming more and more needed when creating beats but here Nicki is doing a poor job at flipping the samples and they are making the songs feel so weird, awkward and forced. At moments it felt like Nicki Minaj was forcing nostalgia down our throats from the over usage of samples. Maybe if the album was 40 minutes instead of 70+ it would be better but what we ... read more
This just sounds like your average pop album. She hasn't quite gone out and explored new twists and turns with her music and played it relatively safe. The production, song writing, vocal performances are just average or barely above average and there's nothing unique being done here. Guilty Consience is fire tho.
When it come's to deluxe's there's 2 ways to rate them. 1) Do they improve the album? or 2) Are the deluxe tracks good? With AAP deluxe i decided to rank the deluxe tracks like they are own album simply due to them being as much as the original album, this is basically AAP 2 but labelled as a deluxe and quite frankly it fails to live up to how good the original is. This is still a decent project Poison Ivy is such a fantastic and great song but ultimately it just sounds like a michael jackson ... read more
I feel like this statement is always repeated in my reviews but once again an artist is carried by the beats. I get having a variety on an album and not sticking to 1 sound to keep the listener engaged is such a great pro but here TKL is doing it too much...You jump from a trap beat into a rock beat into a pop song it's weird and even with the versatility he feels to keep engaged, this album turned into background music for me real quick i stopped paying attention to it and just started doing ... read more
Someone needs to recreate the album cover and lock up trippie to prevent him from making music. Trippie now has 3 albums that are competitors for worst albums of the year with a potential 4th next week...Here you can see trippie ruining some decent beats and moaning into my ears for some fucking reason. The delivery isn't it either, i'm tryna dig for positives but there's literally none
I feel overall this sounds is becoming repetitive for PinkPantheress, it was cool and nice on her debut "to hell with it" which is what ultimately launched her into the mainstream. I feel like this album was her playing it safe and experimenting with features who do not work. Central Cee shouldn't of been on that album. I don't mind any of the other features but my biggest issue is with the British Muslim rapper Central Cee
Some trap influence sparkled throughout the album makes me want an album with more of that sound. Seriously tho this is a nice album, can't say it's better than wasteland but it's still a good album. I love how Brent is one of the last artists to still do skits on his albums, i feel like they contribute heavily to the sound and flow of an album and they are always welcome, i hope more artists have skits on their albums
at moments i was hoping this album abruptly comes to a stop, this is a bad listen something i did not expect from WSG. Here WSG is struggling to rap over mediocre trap beats whilst being outshined by almost every single feature. If we were just to base the album from the feature list, the cover and the name this album had the potential to be an 8+ but sadly the content of the album is rather lacklustre
This is Offset's magnum opus in his solo discog. Offset radiates insane energy on the songs that could hype up the dead. The only real complain i have with this album is it felt it dragged on for too long. However the production, energy, features keep you occupied enough.
This is a very nice chill and layed back album. Harry Fraud is such a great producer with insane versatility, his beats feel exquisite and luxurious and that's what i love about them.
i just can't help but think this is the same shit with every earl album. He always sounds like he's bored out of his mind and is being forced to rap, a little more energy would go a long way. However this album displayed great production carried by Alchemist but that's really the only thing i can give to that project
This is nothing special, it's just a fun vibey creative album and it does that good, would i listen to it again? sure maybe in the car and i'm tryna vibe with friends but would i go out of my way to listen to it when i'm home, school or out and about? no.
Going into this album i was expecting something out of this world / mind blowing from how much it was getting hyped on social media.
The production on this is amazing i love it such good production and same goes for Caroline's vocals! she has beautiful vocals and it's great but it felt like the album is dragging on for a little bit too long and some mediocre tracks drags the album down a little bit for me
This album feels like it's trying to do too much. Doja is rooting in so many paths that it's feeling like a mixed bag of lacklustre sounding beats and vocals her going from pop rap to trap to cloud rap was defo interesting but it's not for me. From the singles I was really excited for the album and though she could drop an AOTY nominee
Unfortunately Nas drops another bad album, fortunately for me I can hate on Nas even more to balance the scales of people calling him the goat. People who know me say I hate on Nas too much and they are absolutely correct, I just do it to counteract the people who put him in the GOAT conversation because sadly he's carried by 2 good albums he dropped early in his career then had an insane run of mostly bad albums from 96 until KD.
More about this album, I felt like it had the weakest production ... read more
This album ain't it...I've seen people hype this up so much that i thought this album will be the 2nd coming of jesus. I went in not hearing any of the snippets and basically no expectations yet it was worse than i thought? I swear i felt like a white boy from the suburbs for the majority of this album. The beats are really lacklustre it was just a guitar tuned differently / sounding differently pretty much for the entirety of the tracklist. Teezo's singing is very raw and undeveloped yet i see ... read more
Just barely above average. This album is a mixed bag of hits and misses. One of my favorite tracks is the intro and it's great, i loved it. I love the tribute to Takeoff with this album and you can really see Quavo poured his heart and emotions into this album but that's the only positives i can really give it. Quavo singing isn't good imo and is also dragging this album a lot. The features were pretty meh, both future tracks i couldn't care less for and might be one of the worst songs, but the ... read more
