HOW IS THIS MAN SO INCONSISTENT???
Look, I like mr 2 phone Baby Keem, mr Andre 3k copycat but I DO NOT like how he’s saying “we drew blood in the ocean” PLEASE remove that shit from my memory.
The best song by far is called ironically “I am not a Lyricist”, which besides doing hype stuff (for the most part) is what he excels at in this album. I also have a lingering fear that Kendrick may be washed, as both verses were nothing notewortthy.
For the most part, ... read more
First Nettspend album, and I'm not (too) pissed off!!!
Look, I've heard some of his stuff before, those being "we not like you" and "project pat" which you know... were not the most enjoyable. but I sat down with pretty low expectations, and I'm kind of surprised!
The autotune annoys the daylights out of me for some of the songs, especially in Pain Talk, genuinely BUNS and the chorus of trap house 2016... I don't even wanna talk about it man...

is it crazy to say that I liked the entire second half more than the first half? I really didn't like the singles, and a lot of the songs sounded repetitive, even the second half.
The second half really switched it up for me and got kinda hype. I think it's just me but I really disliked the gritty stuff on this album, like it lk annoyed tf out of me, but like overall the production was pretty solid, which is one of the strongest points on this album.
Anyways, my favourite was ... read more
(GLAZE FEST INCOMING STRAP IN)
Slayr might be the first rapper I've seen in a while who actually released a "deluxe" edition rather than some bummy bonus tracks (AHEM Rocky).
This is a straight ESSENTIAL rage rap experience. Every track sounds incredibly distinct and NEVER CEASES in terms of energy, with outstanding flows and incredible beats (especially on "Flashout Freestyle" and "Daytona"). also why is this THE TUFFEST ALBUM COVER I'VE SEEN IN MY ... read more
WOW this is such a unique album. The mixing is so incredibly strange, with all these random elements being put in and out, but they truly come together to tell what is such a gut punch, to both us the listeners and Injury Reserve, as they deal with the loss of their friend and collaborator Stepa J Groggs.
If I may sound corny for a second, you can really hear the pain in Ritchies voice, especially in songs such as “Superman That” and “Knees”. His lyrics aren’t too ... read more
really solid Mk.gee song.
all of his songs are pretty good, but I especially like how up tempo this is in comparison to his other stuff. I love the production as always, It always sounds great with all the guitars fading in and out, and that little rattle in the background. Lyrics get kinda lost in the groove of the production, which is my only complaint, but that's kind of expected from this guy, so I'm mostly fine with it.
I really hope he releases some new stuff this year, ... read more
This is definitely the worst single for the album. the beat sounds ok, Zel was good on this, at least he had a verse compared to the last single, 1900 Rugrat sound grating, Key Nyata kinda popped off thoooo that beat switch really picks up the main beat from there on out, making me kinda like it a bit more. It's alright, but definitely nothing I'm returning to any time soon.
It's so pretty!! I love the little side gags and all the characters look really good. This is a breath of fresh air amongst all the doom and gloom about AI slop taking over the music industry, thank goodness.
I think the intro is just sooo pretty and such an underrated track on the album, like can we show some love for instrumental music gang??
2D walking is so me fr when I'm on my whimsical shit
also CAN WE PLEASE IMPLEMENT WOODWIND INTO MORE POP TUNES PLEAAASE TS TOO GOOD
FUCK EUPHORIA THIS IS THE DISS OF THE CENTURY
I LOVE CHUNGA CHUNGA RECORDS❤️❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Thanks for the rec @Mihal Lunar (zig)!
The guitar riff works really well with the ambience here, kinda reminds me of some long summer nights I've had!
I think this is one of the best tracks off of the album, it's really simple, but works really well as an instrumental, as all the elements come together smoothly and really works well on it's own.
Hell yeah! I was a bit skeptic from emo-pop being the primary genre at first, but (most of) my doubts were put aside when listening to this, Which made for an overall enjoyable listening experience!.
First of all, the instrumentals were the high point of the album, as the mood varies somewhat throughout the album, between emo and indie rock, which both mesh really well on this, for reasons I can't explain myself. Some of the mixing got a little annoying at points, where the vocals got ... read more
I CAN'T DO IT THIS SONG IS ALSO REALLY GOOD AHHHHH
This album's really shaping up to be something special, as I'm again almost at a loss for words for how hard this goes. like If this album is bad, I'll listen to Lil Anarchy all the way through without skipping, and write at least 100 words about it.
Anyways, for this I kinda don't have much to say, as I don't have anything bad that I can compare with the good when it's all good, which means it's ... read more
I FEEL THE MUUU-SIIC APRIL I DOOOO
I first heard Underscores (aka April) from Copycats on Danny Brown's album, Stardust, which was such a good project to introduce to more of the joys of electro and hyperpop last year. And this, alongside the other singles, makes me really excited for the album. The production is really fun and upbeat in the first half, then goes INSANE after that second half drop, where I'm at a loss of words and left with chills. April's lyrics and vocals bang ... read more
YAWWWNN. this is such a prime example of a pop-slop album, and a waste of Bruno's vocal talent, buuut I'm happy to help get his ass out of gambling debt by giving whatever decimal point of a cent I'm giving him by listening to this!!!
this all just feels forced and unnecessary, and this is most apparent with the songwriting, which is soooo boring and uninspired. Like you know it's a bad pop song when they add some fucking doo-doo-doo's to the song. This further set in ... read more
Alright, strap in folks this might be my longest one to date, because for the first time I'm going to add in some context!
Very briefly, let's get the backstory of Frank Ocean as a musician out of the way:
Frank was ghostwriting for a range of artists such as Justin Bieber, Brandy, Beyoncé and more. He proved to be good at this, but he wanted to do more as quote: "that's not why I moved away from school and away from family." So he got a signed to record label ... read more
TYSM FOR 50 FOLLOWERS! I was overwhelmed with joy in the moment that I saw I’d reached it, and I’m appreciative to have a platform to share my passion for listening to music with other people!
Anyways here’s the review:
Starting off with the cover, I really like the mix of colours that are on it, as it matches the vibe of the track perfectly.
Frank dropped this out of the blue in 2017 (as usual) yet it’s a wonderful addition to his collection of songs, and probably ... read more
Ty for the recommendation Conrad!
I think album is at it’s best with a lot more elements in the production, but I also appreciated being able to fall into the ambience.
I do appreciate the variety on here, as it does help keep the production interesting throughout
Also thank you for giving me some songs I can sleep to, and I mean that in the best way possible!
Keep going at it and refining your craft, and please lmk of any further stuff you release, as I am interested to hear more of ... read more
The album is the hardest shit I’ve listened to ever, and it isn’t a CONTEST.
There isn’t a dull moment on this album, as the production has SOOO many layers, but it’s never in a way where it feels random, every single production decision from Jane feels like a chess move to make EVERYONE listening to this AT LEAST tap their feet, because if I wasn’t writing while listening to this I would be dancing my ass off GUARANTEED.
TWICE REMOVED does NOT set the tone for ... read more
Love the sample usage, Yachty’s flow is infectious and the song is always soothing at the end of a long day.
the only annoying thing is I’m never listening to this on a cold Sunday
The Estate Sale for white people (me)
