Good and fun EP from Vince Staples, average score is 75 but I’m kind of torn on this EP, I feel like the production sometimes feels a bit dull at times even if Vince Staples rapping is great throughout it with some great catchy tracks all throughout the short EP, overall though good album with multiple bangers, fav songs Fire and 65 Hunnid
Good album, loved the west coast production, Vince Staples was great, and every song has fun, simple, and catchy choruses, it would’ve been an 8/10 if it wasn’t for the scant runtime and 3 interludes that don’t add much to the tracklist, overall good album, fav song Relay
Bad album, very boring, very redundant, and very repetitive, nothing interesting going on and childish gambino is barely on the fucking EP, overall very boring album with absolutely nothing going for it, no fav songs
Good EP, smooth intoxicating contemporary rnb, the first track is decent and drags out too long and feels under written and lackluster compared to the rest of the tracks, the only real eh moment in the tracklist, all the other songs are good, good vibe, smooth vocals, and good songwriting across the board, just wish some of the performances were a bit more dynamic and immersive like a D'Angelo or Erykah Badu which 2000's, 2010's, and 2020's arists have been pulling from ... read more
Both the additional tracks are great and averaged out don't change the score of the album but are great additional tracks and add on to the good album already released, the production is great and the songwriting is great on the two new tracks from the album, fav song from deluxe full moon.
An amazing and highly influential album that laid the groundwork for many artists to come, the drums are banging, the guitars are soaring, the singing performances are amazing, and the songwriting is great across the board, very consistent tracklist with a few of perfect tracks, the vocals could’ve been better on the album in my eyes though, overall amazing album with some generational songs on it, fav songs Cactus, Tony’s Theme, and Where Is My Mind?
Good album, honestly disappointed because I hold JPEGMAFIA to a high standard because of all his amazing work like Scaring The Hoes, LP, All My Hero’s Are Cornballs, and Veteran, Peggy reuses the same flow too much on the album, the production is great throughout the album but not as boundary pushing and creative as his other work, the lyricism is great throughout the album and sounds like classic Peggy, overall good album with great tracks and good tracks throughout the album, definitely ... read more
Decent EP, the production can be hit or miss on the album and the songs are very short and underdeveloped too my ears, nothing crazy on this EP but still can be fun and enjoyable if you don't come into it with high expectations, overall decent EP, fav song BROBOBASHER
Good album, honestly nothing crazy on this album but there are some great tracks like "butterflies." and "other side." which sound like Michael Jackson inspired songs from his albums Dangerous and Invincible, the production is super smooth and calming but nothing too crazy and at multiple points in the album just feels bland and empty, the songwriting at times is too basic or uninspired even if it plays into the album, the vocal layering is good and Brent Faiyaz has a great ... read more
Mediocre EP, the production is dated and Childish Gambino’s song writing is corny, his voice sounds too childish (no pun intended) and corny throughout the album, overall mediocre EP and not Childish Gambino’s best work at all, fav song My Shine
This is awful in so many ways, doesn't even deserve a full review, ALL I HEARD WAS ASS ASS ASS ASS ASS ASS ASS THE WHOLE FUCKING EP AND IT PERFECTLY DESCRIBES THIS FUCK ASS DOG SHIT EP IT'S FUCKING TERRIBLE AND WORSE THAN THE MOTHERFUCKING CARTER 6 LIKE HOLY SHIT WHAT A WASTE OF MY FUCKING TIME, no fav songs
1. THE WAY, 5/10
2. Circular Motion! (ft. Ellis Quinn), 2/10
3. DREAM SHAKE, 3/10
4. As I Recall..., 0/10
5. LEFT RIGHT (ft. Ellis Quinn), 0/10
6. Trop Cherry Pt. 2, 1/10
Great EP, love that these were made and garage band it just shows you don't need much to make some great music, the production is great throughout the EP and the songwriting is super catchy and simplistic and it works in Steve Lacy's favor, Steve Lacy's vocals are well done and the layered vocal harmonies are great, overall great EP with a lot of fun tracks to listen too, fav songs Looks and Dark Red
Mediocre, nothing crazy in this mixtape I forgot to review this a long time ago, fav song Slipknot
Great album, it’s super smooth and calming, it’s very cohesive and doesn’t really change sound often which can make it feel like certain songs bleed into each other and sound a bit too similar, Mac Demarco voice reminds me of the Beatles and I’m not sure why but it does, the song writing and singing performances are great through the album, Mac’s singing is very lowkey and I like that it fits the album’s aesthetic, overall great album with a lot of great ... read more
Rating the new tracks and averaging it out is a 7.8, so I'd give the additional tracks an 8/10, I like the songs they were a good addition to the album, I think some of the features honestly weigh down the songs, the production feels much sleepier and uninspired on songs like "SAVE SOME FOR ME" and "REPLICA" but they were still good songs to listen too, "KEEPER PT. II" with Teddy swims is just as amazing as the original and arguably better than the original, I ... read more
DRAKE STFU, MIDMAN, what did I miss? Nothing really, just miss my one hour I wasted on this shit, boring, unoriginal, sleepy, Drake just starts yapping halfway through, the features are bland and boring, such a long repetitive tracklist, few good songs through the bunch but nothing crazy, little birdie and don’t worry sound like DEMOS, FUCKING DEMOS LIKE ARE WE FUCKING SERIOUS, the worst songs of the year for sure, overall mid album, fav songs Make Them Cry and National Treasures
Good album, nothing crazy from early Peggy, this record is definitely overrated by fans, the productions is good throughout, I loved the "I Can't Help It" sample from Michael Jackson on Montebello High School Prom, definitely a creative sample, nothing really blew me away on this album, the delivery and mic presence throughout the album isn't the best and Peggy has MAJOR improvements on his JPEGMAFIA releases that I love to death and I feel are far more creative and well ... read more
An absolute powerhouse of a record, the production is insane and is constantly changing and progressively meeting these super high musical peaks I can't fathom, the songwriting is amazing, and the political content and messaging of the album is amazing, on of the best records of the year hands down, fav songs shed a tear for me, o di gbere, playing around with a flip, and creek ala
Great EP, the summer vibe is perfect and I'm still jamming this all seasons of the year, the production is great and the Childish Gambino's singing is amazing throughout the short 2 song EP, overall great EP, fav song Feels Like Summer
A very underwhelming album from Giveon, The production is lackluster and doesn't go anywhere, Giveon still sounds like he's finding his sound and doesn't sound fully developed as a song writer on this album, he has much better singing, song writing, and production and instrumentation on BELOVED, overall mediocre album, fav song HEARTBREAK ANNIVERSARY
