Man, is this thing good. The Strokes go back to that young and carefree feeling for me. It sounds so bright and warm. A real bounce back from their previous projects, and a step in the right direction. I don't know, even if it has sad topics at times, this album just makes me happy. Really beautiful project, love this.
This is where The Strokes actually drop a bit in quality. This album is just a bit boring, with a lot of boring songs and ideas, while also being a bit corny at times. I still like it, but it is their worst in my opinion, even if it isn't really a controversial opinion to have. It is not bad, and there are some bangers, specially Ize of the world, I really like the idea and execution of this song. On the other side, the lows are low and it drags a ... read more
You can really feel the anger and frustration in this record. Even without factoring all of the lyrics and emotions of this album into the equation, it is still amazing. Every song is a banger, specially the first half of the album, it is just one after another. Love this thing.
