For the longest time I didn't get the hype for this band but this one did it for me. Instant fan, I just need to find the magic on the other albums like I do with this one.

The first song is fun as hell even if it's 16 minutes long. That crescendo is out of this world man.

What I personally want when I listen to a Kid Cudi song is to be transported into that moody atmosphere only his music takes me to. His best songs are pretty reverb-y, heavy and the lyrics pretty deep and philosophical/introspective. In general I just think this is the album that has the most songs that take me to that mental headspace. I think he is a pretty standard rapper when he sticks to the norm, a bit boring even. The first three songs here are standouts but this entire thing is fucking great. Fantastic vocal performances and very entertaining and pretty all throughout.

Each time I go for a walk around the woods I put this on, it's so goddamn pleasant.

No album causes me to feel what this does, it's such a unique and powerful experience. Everytime I find myself listening to a Deathconsciousness song, it's so different from anything else, it consumes me in a very, very comforting way. Not even close to their best, half the tracks are the best they've ever made, the other half is boring.
