The promo company, style and theories did not correlate with what we got in the form of the final product. This is the fourth release Taylor is co-producing with Jack Antonoff, the man who made Folklore and Norman Fucking Rockwell for us. At its core, this is what "Midnights" by Taylor Swift was meant to be. A unique and eclectic sound - a little whimsical, silky, a little exotic and futuristic. In general, a very pleasant record from an artist who managed not to get stuck in the stigma of "One Hit Artist" with "Call Me Maybe" and continues to delight us and her fans with good albums.
Alas, she still goes her own unhit road. There is not a single highlight from the album, feats are boring, all the songs are faded. Sounds like a nightmare.
Just because Britney deserves it.
