rarely do i find january releases to really meet the moment in time that is the desolate and lonely days of winters harshest month. a month of uncertainty after festivities, a come down of sorts. so often early year releases get lost in the mix by the time lists come around because they fail to stick with listeners through an almost year long window. more often than not releases this early just feel out of place, but this right here feels like a true january release.
