The Beatles: Pt. 5
Unquestionably, the best album so far, with unquestionably the best song so far, Yesterday. It's crazy just how much Yesterday stands out, even despite being after one of the better songs on the album, it's still on a completely another level. Basically, that's the main difference from the other albums; they didn't have such a powerful song.
It's not the only difference, though. The album seems to be much more experimental than the albums before it. The opener has a weird unusual structure, and it's also not a casual love song lyrically. On Ticket to Ride, Ringo suddenly shows that he's actually a great creative drummer. On Ticket to Ride, the drums really stand out, which is something I haven't noticed in any other songs on previous albums. I've Just Seen a Face has such a beautiful vibe to it; it's truly a unique song. Which is, once again, not something you could find on previous albums. There are songs here that are unique. Btw, the song titles 8-12 look like a really weird dialogue.
The album's still just a 67 because most of the songs are just decent. At least, they're not mediocre, which is already a progress. Anyway, I'm excited to hear the evolution farther.
