Mark Ronson surrounds himself with a group of power women on LATE NIGHT FEELINGS. The album truly does what the title entails: invoke feelings of melancholy, affliction and yet there is a strong sense of hope lingering. Ronson’s production is ever so present and I ain’t mad.

A great mix of psychedelic pop à la Tame Impala, hints of Melody's Echo Chamber and a finishing touch of Mitski. SASAMI delivers a nice, well rounded debut. Sometimes a bit too shallow to get to depths an artist like Mitski does reach. Nevertheless this projects got me excited for more.

Serving songs that feel cheap and generic, I did not quite enjoy this album. Translating sadness into sound is something tricky and something that requires a lot of skill. The end result feels like a first draft that needed some more finetuning, the writing and sound needed some more depth. I expected a more creative spin, like Mitski does, instead of this generic result.

Not very big on country music, but Musgraves shows skill and flips the script on the genre. Blending it with glitter pop and serving it on a platter for a wide audience to enjoy. Golden Hour is an album about love and being loved, past relationships and the now. Kacey Musgraves is living beneath the surface and ready to burst onto the mainstream.

How can Ms Janelle Monáe climb further up the ladder after "The ArchAndroid" and "Electric Lady" many asked. Well she did, by turning inward and making an album that feels universal and personal at the same time. Like Monáe sings on "Django Jane", she did it for the culture, a kamikaze and we will be forever grateful.

Lyrically as musically one of the finest albums I've come across. SZA captures a feeling not many artists have managed to grasp and present in such a honest way. The record tells a story worth listening to and the young artist is an amazing storyteller.
