I like this album. there's nothing crazy super cool about it aside from really well-done production which counts a lot don't get me wrong. It is simply a solid album.
Half of these songs are bangers, the other half are... well just not great. it's crazy how inspired and original Joji can be at times and then at others its like bro what are you doing. 777 was just not a fun track in the slightest and really killed me opinion of this album. however, shoutout to the production because it is done VERY well. That's what aids the bangers on this album be bangers. I think smithereens is still a better album though.
sadly, enough most of the reviews are true. it's short in essence of its 21 tracks. They all sound really strong but don't really go anywhere. it feels aimless and when I got done with it I said aloud to me "that's it?" decent but very incomplete
The embodiment of grief that the album shoots for is really well maintained. The actual music itself really just captivating especially the first and last track. really brings it all together.
