While most of this album is dope, there are a few songs on here that really just feel unfinished.
Very good album, Versace is heaven sent and so is $500 Ounces. French Toast is probably the worst song on the album. Other than when Elcamino does it, I'm not really a fan of when the Griselda Members try to sing. The Wale verse on French Toast carried the track though. Overall an incredible album with very few drawbacks.
Perfect and nostalgic. One of the albums that really put me onto listening to albums in full along with David Bowie's Low, Danny Brown's Atrocity Exhibition and Denzel Curry's Imperial.
Waiting for this album was annoying, but it was a great album. Nothing quite blew me away but it was thoroughly enjoyable. Lost Times was easily my favorite song off of the album, although I'm very sad that the first part of the beat didn't drag on for longer. That first part of Lost Times was easily my favorite part of the whole album.
Vince Staples has come a long way as an artist. You can clearly tell that he put a lot of effort into this album.
Easily Mach-Hommy's best. This album is absolutely incredible! Everything from the production to the lyricism. Easily one of the best albums this year up with Blue Lips and Dark Times
Some drawbacks but it's still Denzel so for the most part I loved it. Not crazy about SHAKE 88 and I think that there are too many interludes. Although, YOO is fucking hilarious.
Very good album, Sule has great flow and has a great beat selection. I enjoyed this album quite a bit and look forward to seeing what else Sule does in the future
Wow, this song is literally perfect. This might be my favorite song of the decade so far. Everything is absolutely perfect from Camoflauge Monk’s production to that dope ass guitat solo at the end. More rap songs should have actual guitar solos on them. Conway’s verse is awesome and I literally get goosebumps when Joey comes in. 11/10
Although this album is relatively mid it's highs are really high it's lows really drag it down for me. I will say though that HIT THE STREETS IN MY NIKEZ holds a special place in my heart already. I think this album is overhated but I can see why people do not like it.
Best Tracks: HIT THE STREETS IN MY NIKEZ / FUNKY WIZARD SMOKE / BLUE SKY
Worst Tracks: MOST AIN'T DENNIS (actually horrible) / X & CUD / MR. COOLA
With Peggy's beats and Danny's vocals this is easily the best album of 2023. Peggy's production on this is sick although his vocals aren't quite perfect. Danny's vocals are amazing and I'd highly recommend this album to someone who hasn't listened to any music in the subgenre of Hip-Hop. 10/10
My dad put me onto this album when I was about 9 years old and I've loved it ever since. It's what got me into David Bowie and David Bowie is what got me into listening to albums. Best Song: Be My Wife or Sound and Vision. 10/10 album.
Overall, this album didn't age super well. I will however say though, Denzel has been my favorite rapper for a long time and Void is my favorite song by him.
For a debut album, this isn't bad. Favorite song being "Like Me" which is still one of my favorite Zel songs, even now. and least favorite being Benz or Talk That Shit because they just sound like worse Rick Ross.
