Like The Weeknd Kanye begins his discography at the top, with one of the best debut albums I’ve heard. While I’m normally not the biggest fan of samples, Kanye nails it on the College dropout where samples shines in songs like for example Slow Jamz. Although it can become a bit tiring with this type of sound, especially on the high pitched vocals on Through the wire which I’m not the biggest fan of. But the worst tracks on this album, who are still solid, doesn’t have ... read more
Even though it is a mixtape the flow in LIVE LOVE A$AP is so consistent it feels like a fully fleshed album. Sadly, it get’s a bit boring for me after a while and a few songs sound the same, with this dreamy sleepy vibe, which for me results in the listener falling asleep at some parts in the mixtape. With all this aside it still has some bangers and really good tracks, but it is in my opinion still a bit overrated. Do keep in mind that I listen to the version only available on Spotify, ( ... read more
Gorillaz best album and it’s not even close. Few albums are as consistent in quality as this one and with a good variation of genres as well. The second half is great though, with a grand finale in form of CASPER and a heavy groove on THUNDRRR, which is unique in ... read more
On first listen it didn’t sound like anything special but over time I’ve grown more fond of it. Three years later JID delivers another great album that may be on par with his last one, but is in my opinions bit worse. While some tracks are better than the best on the Forever story like Community and Wholeheartedly God does like ugly also has some tracks that are worse than the worst on his last album. For me this album also lacks a theme throughout the album which makes it feel more ... read more
