This album is kinda all over the place. There's definitely not a lot wrong with this album but it just feels so generic and unmemorable. Baffled this won over Deftones but I'm sure no one who does voting for The Emmys is a real person anyways.
how the fuck is this a song from 2025 and not from a 2010 youtube video. fuck whoever greenlit this song into being in fortnite festival
I waited for the official streaming version to drop in hopes that it was just the rips or in game sound quality from BO7 that made it sound like shit but nope it's just like that. Fitting for a song that sounds like this to wind up in a game like that.
I was gonna make a joke that the song 12.23.95 technically makes this a Christmas album so it was fitting to listen to this in December, but holy fuck this album is just incredible. By far the best Jimmy Eat World album I've listened to.
Seeing the Travis Barker producer tag really explains the questionable mixing and awful use of auto-tune.
Me with this album for the next month or so: "i think about you all the time"
GOD I hate when albums do that shitty intro/intermission banter thing. I don't know of a single case where they were ever funny or actually added something to the album. Pretty alright otherwise.

One of my new favorite terms as of recent is "reheated nachos", which is used when someone does something someone else has already done, usually being worse or not as hard hitting as the original person. This album encapsulates that term perfectly as holy fuck this genuinely just sounds like a rip off of Foo Fighters. I love Kryptonite, but the rest of this album falls off pretty hard with it trying to rely on people not having heard any ... read more

I have a bit of history with this album as it was the album where I decided to create a Spotify playlist to compile any songs I liked from an album while I was listening to it (having a terrible memory sucks + I don't like using Spotify's official likes playlist). When relistening to this, I checked which songs were on said playlist and wanted to see if my opinion has changed and for any songs that might make the cut. Now that I have fully ... read more

I feel inclined to give a somewhat actual review because this album has genuinely been a disappointment since the first single release. Be Alone isn't bad, but it didn't really give me hope for the rest of the album, with every other single (aside from Orphans to an extent) backing up that thought. Every song on the album feels like it's incredibly incomplete and way more of a collection of demos than ... read more
I was excited for this one as Hot Fuss was kinda whatever, but unfortunately this album is only a little better. They seemed to have found their sound and it's definitely higher quality compared to their debut, but something about it makes me unable to rate much higher than said debut; maybe it's the lack of further experimentation and that they seem to just be continuing to play it safe with what works. This album also suffers the same issue as their last by making the second half be ... read more
Found a CD of this album in near perfect condition at a thrift store for 2 whole dolla that shit was the biggest steal of my LIFE. Solid stuff, quite a fan of the second half.
