Completely creatively bankrupt. Features are alright though

Lil Yachty - Strike (Holster)

Extremely underrated on here, great beat, great vocals, catchy lyrics, just a great track.

Joji - SMITHEREENS

As talented of a musician Joji is, time and time again we see that he struggles with putting together full albums. I love certain songs on Ballads 1 and on Nectar, but neither are compelling albums as a whole. This is no different. As incredible as Glimpse of Us and Die for You are, the rest just feels… meh. Not horrible, but boring.

Nas - King's Disease III
90

It’s been said a million times but the fact that Nas is making albums this fucking good so late into his career is a real testament to his greatness. This is legitimately his best album since It Was Written if you ask me, amazing from front to back.

Favorite Tracks: Thun, Michael & Quincy, Reminisce, First Time, Beef
Least Favorite: WTF SMH

BROCKHAMPTON - TM

You can definitely tell that they just threw together what they had lying around the studio for this.
The songs aren’t bad and considering the circumstances, it could’ve been a lot worse. But a lot of this just doesn’t really feel like Brockhampton? There’s some good stuff here though, worth a listen for fans.

Favorite Tracks: FMG, NEW SHOES, MAN ON THE MOON
Least Favorite: LISTERINE

BROCKHAMPTON - The Family

Brock was great, but I do wish Hampton showed up for their final album :/

Jokes aside, this was a great finale for the band that’s meant so much to me since high school. I think having this be a Kevin solo album is a really interesting decision and probably the right one. I genuinely think that if they forced the band together to record a final record, the results would be very rough, and what we got instead is an extremely candid look at the band from Kevin’s POV over some great ... read more

Pink Floyd - High Hopes

The band's output post-Wall was pretty shaky, but DAMN they ended the discography right.

Until The Endless River came out 20 years later...

Drake - Certified Lover Boy

I don’t love this album. Obviously. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy a good chunk of songs on here. Champagne Poetry is a compelling opener, Way 2 Sexy has grown on me if I’m being honest, Pipe Down gives me the Drake I love, No Friends In The Industry is a great banger that reminds me of IYRTITL, Knife Talk is a fun moment with 21 Savage, Race My Mind is a great R&B Song. The album doesn’t play great front to back as an ALBUM, but does anyone expect ... read more

Kanye West - Donda 2

This album feels like it has no purpose. Every Kanye album before now, even the low points like Ye and JIK, had a purpose. Ye was like a therapy session of sorts for Kanye. Jesus Is King found Kanye spreading his newfound faith. Again, the results are mixed, but Kanye had a mission with these albums. What’s the purpose of this album? Why does Donda 2 exist? If there IS any main purpose of this album, I guess it’s for Kanye to gaslight us into believing that his family has been ... read more
