I don’t love this album. Obviously. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy a good chunk of songs on here. Champagne Poetry is a compelling opener, Way 2 Sexy has grown on me if I’m being honest, Pipe Down gives me the Drake I love, No Friends In The Industry is a great banger that reminds me of IYRTITL, Knife Talk is a fun moment with 21 Savage, Race My Mind is a great R&B Song. This album feels like it has no purpose. Every Kanye album before now, even the low points like Ye and JIK, had a purpose. Ye was like a therapy session of sorts for Kanye. Jesus Is King found Kanye spreading his newfound faith. Again, the results are mixed, but Kanye had a mission with these albums. What’s the purpose of this album? Why does Donda 2 exist?
