Porter Robinson - Nurture
100

Porter Robinson's Nurture. One of the most celebrated Electropop albums of recent times, and possibly even of all time. So what makes this album so good? It has this nice feel-good and comforting vibe throughout the whole album and it feels like he's there with you comforting you. (Just keep in mind that not everything I say in this review is correct. A lot of it is just how I interpret certain things.)

The album starts off with Lifelike. This is a perfect song to start an album like ... read more

Lil Tecca - DOPAMINE
70

Tecca's work ethic is crazy, and he's only getting better. Most people would think that he would just be a one hit wonder with Ransom back in 2019, but then he dropped even more hits that same year like "Did It Again" and "Love Me". Every year since then, except 2022, he's been dropping hits. 2020 had "Our Time", 2021 had "LOT OF ME", 2023 had "500lbs", and while 2024 didn't have a mega hit, it still had amazing songs that ... read more

Travis Scott - Rodeo
88

Rodeo is Travis Scott's debut album and it's an amazing trap record, and I would go as far as to say that this is a must listen for all rap and hip-hop fans.

Before I started listening to Travis Scott or just rap music in general, I didn't really like him because I thought he had too much autotune and all he talked about was drugs and being high. And man I was so wrong. This is an amazing album and I think Travis is one of the best rappers in the game right now.

Lady Gaga - MAYHEM

One of Pop music's biggest stars, Lady Gaga dropped a new album full of bangers I surprisingly never listened to any of Lady Gaga's albums until now, so this is a perfect time to hear one for the first time as it is just dropping. I loved her hits but I just never took the time to hear a full project from her. While I haven't heard them, most people I've seen don't like her newest projects too much. This was actually one of my most anticipated albums so far of the year, ... read more

青葉市子 [Ichiko Aoba] - Luminescent Creatures
88

Ichiko Aoba is a name I'm not very familiar with, only having heard of this new album and 2020 release "Windswept Adan". I have never heard a single song from her so I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy this as much as others but wow this did not disappoint. It wasn't very much like I expected it to be but that's okay!

This album just makes you feel a certain way with it's peaceful instrumentals and soothing vocals. It makes you feel like you're in the ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR

my favorite album of all time. one of the best albums of all time, might be THE best. the production on here is completely outstanding and the vocals, while they may not be the best, still sound great and especially amazing for the vibe that it's going for. i just wanna say a little something for every song.

IGOR'S THEME - such an amazing intro to the album. sets off the vibe perfectly for the rest of the album and gets you into it immediately. the uzi feature, while not very ... read more

Deafheaven - Lonely People With Power

Wow, this album surprised me a lot. I genuinely expected myself to not enjoy this too much as I am not the biggest fan of metal, especially after hearing Knocked Loose'a 2024 album which I was not fond of at all. But man this is actually a really really amazing album.

The production on here is so amazing which is my favorite thing about it. It can either be so chaotic on most of the songs, or be calming like that part of Revelator. It's definitely my favorite part because I really ... read more

Have you ever imagined an album or song that just sounds like pure chaos with incredibly loud and abbrasive production? Well I have many times, and Death Grips perfects that craft on this album.

While not being incredibly familiar with them, I have previously heard The Money Store and Bottomless Pit. I personally thought Bottomless Pit was pretty good but I actually thought The Money Store was pretty mediocre. Man, how could I be more wrong. I can get why I didn't like this, but now I ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS

This is honestly way better than I expected. Tyler’s production on here is genuinely at the best it’s ever been and I love the singing/rapping on here. The only song that wasnt amazing was Mommanem, which is really short so it doesn’t matter too much, the rest is great.

Lil Uzi Vert - Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World

I finally understand what makes this so great. Uzi’s amazing voice combined with his catchy flows makes for some of the most enjoyable rap songs of the whole decade. I am obsessed with this album right now and I don’t think I’ll stop loving it.

Lil Uzi Vert - Pink Tape

Such a long album but it felt enjoyable nearly the whole time. Love the different genres they experimented with and I don’t think there was a bad song on here. Amazing album.

¥$ - VULTURES 2

Honestly it’s not as bad as some people say. It’s still a bad album but it has a few redeeming songs that I really like such as FIELD TRIP, RIVER, and PROMOTION. Without those songs it would be like a 1/10 though.

my bloody valentine - m b v

Slightly disappointing after I fell in love with loveless but still an amazing album. I feel it lacks some of the super amazing melodies you’ll find on loveless on songs like only shallow, when you sleep, and i only said but that isnt a super big issue. Amazing album.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada E.P.

After deciding to listen to their full discography, I decided to listen to this one first, and oh my god it did not disappoint. Moya is genuinely one of the greatest songs I’ve ever listened to with some of the best instrumentation I have ever heard. That second track is also almost as amazing. That drop at 12 minutes is one of the best drops of all time. This might be the greatest EP of all time.

Swans - To Be Kind
80

Swans’ To Be Kind is an album I haven’t really wanted to check out, mainly because of it’s really long runtime, but I decided why not listen to it.

This album is a little conflicting for me because on one hand, you have songs like Screen Shot, She Loves Us, To Be Kind and Oxygen but you also have songs like Just a Little Boy (For Chester Burnett), and Some Things We Do. Most songs are really amazing on here and enjoyable, with phenomenal instrumentation, but there were 2 ... read more

Swans - The Seer

The final part of Swans’ trilogy for me the listen to, even though it’s the first entry. Swans’ The Seer is a lot more eerie and dark than the other albums from this trilogy. Songs like 93 Ave. B Blues make you feel scared and just give this eerie feeling that not many songs can give you.

The production on here is fantastic. It doesn’t stack up against The Glowing Man, but it is slightly better than To Be Kind. I love the way some of the tracks start off slow and build ... read more

ROSALÍA - LUX

This absolutely blew my expectations away and was so much better than I was expecting for this album before it dropped. The album goes above what you would expect with a normal album you hear. It features not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 13 DIFFERENT languages. This makes for a super unique and impressive listen, even if you don’t understand everything she is saying (And I doubt anyone knows all 13 languages.). The album also features a whole orchestra, which makes this album even more ... read more
