Not bad, but outside of Comeuppance I don't find many of the tracks stick out to me personally
Beautiful heart felt album without a single weak link. Seriously underrated record.
Macseal came swinging with their first EP with catchy instrumentals and 6 solid songs. Cats is still one of the catchier songs in the genre
A fun set of covers brought down by a so so mix that doesn't really let any of the instrumentals shine
A solid outing that doesn't quite shine too brightly compared to the previous releases, but is still a solid listen.
The main thing holding this album back for me is the production is just too polished for my liking
A much quieter, slow incarnation of Origami Angel. Interesting to see how their music evolved from this EP to the upbeat fast sound they'd be best known for
One of the most iconic records of the emo revival, when it hits, it absolutely hits, and when it doesn't? Nah it still hits pretty damn well.
It's very easy to see how The Hotelier went from this to one of the best emo albums of all time.
Ignoring whatever it was that happened resulting in two of the band distancing themselves from the third member, this is a damn good album with non stop hits.
We will likely never know what the actions of this member were, but given circumstances I think it's best that Gender Roles fades away. Go support Really Big Really Clever if you enjoy this record, it's the band consisting of two of Gender Roles former members.
A solid debut album that has some iconic indie emo tracks. This Must Be My Exit is one of the better songs in this genre honestly.
A solid album which is a very easy listen, just nothing that stands out too much
Dunno how Bears in Trees flew by me for so long, this is great.
Not every track hits for me personally, but the ones that do really do. Insanely solid instrumentals on display here.
Update: Haven't been able to stop listening to this album, scores going up from 67.
It's alright, nothing stands out too much besides Welcome Mats and the killer horn sections
A little more his or miss than their previous outings for me personally, but still some fun vibes to be had.
