Mostly really good, "Too Bad, So Sad" is just terrible though.
First 6 songs are the strongest on the album and all really good, the rest aren't as good but most are decent or at least ok. Except Too Bad, So Sad. That one feels like a lobotomy.
Iann's music is like mcdonald's. It's a consistently mid option that you don't really think of first but when it's 3am or you're hungover you just go for it because although it's mid, it's safely mid. The highs are great here but other songs either feel repetitive or boring. Some songs on here are really good and have huge replay value while others just kinda blend into the background and seem mediocre.
Overall, it's not his worst album but it's not his best either. This feels more like a transitory album where he's fleshing out his sound more and seeing what works and what doesn't. When it works, like in Pelle Coat, All My Life, Never Again and Sad Songs, it works ... read more
