This is what REM are all about for me. Guitar hooks galore. Beautiful songs, each and every one.

A great record for sure, but lacks the consistency and focus of their previous releases. Undertow and Departure are awesome. Be Mine might be the first REM song that I didn’t like.

A weak record with good singles. I loved Union of the Snake when I was a kid, so there’s that.

The best jangle rock band I’ve heard in quite some time. The guitars are like 3 energizer bunnies that keep going and going and going.
