A common trend of 2019 is that artists who have come out with good stuff in the past are releasing disappointing or mediocre work this year. (Tyler the Creator, Danny Brown, Vampire Weekend etc.) And in general compared to the last couple of years 2019 has been lacking anything surprising or huge.

It turned 20 years old yesterday. How well does it hold up? It’s good shit but has some flaws.
It’s angsty teenage music that is melancholic, beautiful, and enchanting at its best. Though it can have cringyass Emo kid lyrics very frequently. A lot of the subject matter of this record is about growing up as a teen dealing with teenage problems. Relationships, heartbreak and maturing as a person.
