On first listen, this is easily the most focused, cinematic Clipse album. Pusha T, Malice, & Pharrell are at their peak for this powerful comeback album. I give it somewhere from a strong 8 to a decent 9.
2nd listen: Yeah this is AOTY for me, I’d say better than his other albums like Hell Hath No Fury and maybe even DAYTONA. Something about these three just bring out the best in each other.
5th, 6th, or whatever listen: This is top 5 rap albums of the decade for me.
The beats and rapping here are amazing and the lyrics are very upfront, whether flaunting or venting. Overall there’s a lot to this album.
This album kinda puts me in a weird spot. Navy Blue’s lyricism is still top notch, painting Mona Lisa level pictures of his journey of self growth, realization, and his relationship with God. There are some fantastic songs here, with my personal favorites being F.E.A.R., If God Had Legs, Circa, Belladonna, Crux Andsata, Residuum, & Sir Render.

Found this on a whim, everything from the vocals to the instruments and melodies are finely crafted and powerful, leaving you wanting even more.
A solidly consistent debut album that really showcases the quirky textures and charm that would define his later projects.
