The Chainsmokers - Smooth

listening to the chainsmokers not doing edm trap is definately a trip, and shockingly enjoyable. yes, be early 2010s zedd and avicii please.

Latto - Gyatt
NR

glad to see ice spice has managed to acquire an additional 0.5 verses

Neil Cicierega - Porcelain

bbno$ - 1-800
NR

respectfully can this man get on a trap beat again he's good at what he does but it's getting tiring

Maroon 5 - All Night
70

i'm getting the vibe that this album was meant to release in 2022-2023 but then the adam levine "holy fuck holy fucking fuck" thing happened and it got delayed

this song would be absolutely SLAMMED if it released at that time but now that we're past that tiny point in pop music it's somewhat refreshing to hear.

Bruno Mars - Bonde do Brunão
65

this is the first officially released solo bruno mars song since 2016,,, and it's the streaming release of a one minute long novelty track he made to celebrate a 15 show tour in Brazil in a social media video, as part of a new collaboration with fortnite.

that description says more about this song than any sort of opinion on it's quality i can give

Quadeca - FORGONE
NR

this song sounds like a quiet musical moment in a pixar film

Travis Scott - 4X4
52

YEAHHHHHH I LOVE JEY USO

Hanumankind - Big Dawgs (Remix)
68

not as enjoyable as the original but it's still good

Suzanne Vega - Rats
NR

Porter Robinson - Hollowheart
90

Fetty Wap - Fetty Wap
74

a pleasant surprise even though it's a little one note at points

fav tracks: 679, i wonder, time, RGF island, d.a.m, rewind
least favs: my way, i'm straight

Childish Gambino - Lithonia
78

The Beatles - Revolver
NR

JPEGMAFIA - don't rely on other men
NR

this song has southern rock energy and i do not know why

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
84

this album is gay, good, and more gay

Post Malone - I Had Some Help
65

i don't mind this song until morgan wallen's verse goes too far but i can tell this is gonna be inescapable in America

Macklemore - HIND'S HALL
NR

to get this started, macklemore did not write this song for people like me who already know about israel/palestine. he wrote it for white americans who do not know/do not care about it happening.

for once, ben has managed to make his cornball lyrics and delivery work for a song about the pro-palestinian protests happening in many colleges and towns around the world, as well as giving a general summary of what has been occurring over there.

it's a real sparknotes-esque summary to educate ... read more

Witchgang - Timeless
62

this second song got announced for fortnite festival and i've been listening to it quite a bit wondering "why the fuck are there so many insane writing credits" similar to the previous witchgang song

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of NIN, Hudson Mohawke, David Sitek of TV on the Radio, Jean Dawson doing vocals on Nothing's Alright. there's nothing about them yet all these connections.

as for the music, it's weird. a wonky droning sound that i'm pretty confident is in 2/4, with a ... read more

HMLTD - The Worm
79

this is certified worm hours

this is a very funny album that i cannot tell if it was trying to be intentionally funny or not. i can't help to find the concept of a giant fucking worm eating britain with some of the most cheesy rock guitars and symphonic orchestration money can buy absolutely hilarious.
it also helps that it's also performed quite well despite how absurd the premise seems

favs: wyrmlands, saddest worm ever, past life (sinnerman's song)
least favs: liverpool street
