The first 4 track run is amazing, just got that chill 60’s psychedelic style type flow, kinda dropped quality towards the end but still a pretty tidy record
So this is a rating off my first listen and I dead set zoned out it was that boring. I actually think the song had so much potential. Honestly should of kept it an instrumental and I would of preferred that
This is some seriously good Aussie indie rock, definitely something that needs more attention.
Highlights:
-Limbo
-The Feeling
-Attention
-Leech
So I had to re-review this. I’m not sure what is was thinking 4 years ago giving this album a 73 but holy shit did this thing age well and at the time of listening first time I wasn’t sure if it had staying power but it did and this is magical
Highlights:
Where’s My Brain???
Fuzz Jam
The Seaside
The Island
Tangerine
Honestly not really my thing, I liked it better than what I expected I would and there was some upsides so I think it’s a pretty all round solid album.
Highlights:
The Moon Cave
Orange County
The Manifesto
The Plastic Guru
This was absolute killer and looking forward to what these guys have in stall next
Honestly pretty decent. Kinda felt like too much of the same stuff and became a little boring while listening. The title track is an absolutely underrated banger and boosts the score dramatically for me. More highlights are Desire, Hush & Silently. The rest is pretty mediocre
Aperture and American girls pushed the album in alright direction. After that it was kinda boring until season 2 weight loss, coming up roses and pop which caught my attention again with some catchy melodies. Probably his worst album to date and was left disappointed and wanting more.
Favourites
-Pop
-Aperture
-Carla’s Song
A return to his best in my opinion providing that funky neo-soul with some textures of jazz-rock.
Consistently every track was solid and going to have on repeat for sometime.
Highlights:
-Special kind of woman
-Glitter & Gold
-Sharon
-Love is getting complicated
-I cannot believe in tomorrow
-Shoot me with your love gun
Started off so strong. Significant drop off after orange peel, still a sick album though.
Highlights:
-Fazon
-Coke, Suede and Waterbeds
-Sleazy Street
-Orange Peel
Only flaw I have is I wished the songs were longer and let the instrumental sections play out a bit more
