Devon Hendryx - DREAMCAST SUMMER SONGS
65

in what world is this ahead of its time

Blizzi Boi - 42 Song
100

Unc snapped like usual (unironically one of the best songs I've heard from him, the inflection on the chorus is actually super fun)

YT - OI!
80

Felt absolutely nothing the whole way through listening to this shit, and the last few songs were actually a fucking slog to get through. Genuinely some of the worst choruses I’ve ever heard too. I’m usually a fan of jerk but the whole project just feels soulless and empty

edit: hooooly shit it finally clicked this shit is FIRE bruv

Little Simz - Lotus
90

Fastest an album has ever grown on me. Actually insane. On first listen just a mere few hours ago I genuinely was super disappointed and felt it as around a 70, but after a single relisten a few hours its jumped straight up to a 94 somehow. Admittedly on fl I was listening with a friend and wasn't paying attention to the lyrics and small details of the production but I'm still stunned I had such low opinions mere hours ago

Feng - What The Feng
80

very enjoyable, but nothing crazy. middle is the best

e-dubble - Hampden Parks (Freestyle Friday #7)
90

unironically an incredible song

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red
85

wow this grew on me heavy, def carti's most consistent album. still has its flaws but overall pretty great, leagues better than his two prior. I hope I feel the same way about MUSIC upon relisten but I doubt it

Prince and The Revolution - Purple Rain
75

I'll give it a relisten later but wow was this disappointing. not bad in the slightest but I was really expecting some mindblowing 10/10 album when it honestly even felt average at times. Obviously when doves cry and purple rain are amazing songs, the later being truly incredible but overall I was very unsatisfied. Hope it grows on me

Denzel Curry & Kenny Beats - UNLOCKED 1.5
75

very messy and weirdly sequenced but almost all the songs are better than the originals

JID - God Does Like Ugly
75

Still a great album, but I am thoroughly disappointed compared to his first three.

Somehow coming off of the masterpiece the forever story was and to a point even his two prior, it feels like a real step down in quality. The best songs on this project don't even reach some on the bottom half of tfs, and it pains me beacuse I know that jid is an objectively amazing and talented artist, and the rapping on this project is mostly great but some of the decisions on this are just not it. All ... read more

JID - The Never Story
85

this 100% deserves a must hear, maybe even more than DiCaprio 2

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....
95

took this down from a 100 to a 99 because it very minimally grew off me and I didn't think it matched the level of my other 100s but after my first relisten in months it might go back up. Maybe after a few ore relistens

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
85

does a surprisingly good job living up to it's predecessor, even while going for a completely different vibe.

Primal Scream - Screamadelica
90

there are a lot of things I would change about this album, yet it's still amazing. Sadly the final two songs drag it down a bit

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
50

... did we listen to the same album?
