Tulsa, OK is WILD. Never been as hyped up by a Rap Rock song in my life. A shame it's not on streaming but we don't deserve this kinda Black Art.
Real shit y'all.
At first, I was confused. A K-Pop album so highly rated? As a K-Pop hater, I had to see this bs.
This is the one K-Pop album/songs I'll ever tolerate. This was great I won't lie.
[Sweet Crazy Love]
The production is far more mellowed out than most K-Pop songs I know and its still complex at the same time. It's a very nice bop. Very sweet love song. The lyrics aren't cringe and overbearing. I won't lie, this song got me hooked. This sounds amazing. No wonder people ... read more
Peggy, baby, shut the fuck up.
This is easily, by far, the worst album for the peg-ster. What is he thinking here? I don't even know where to begin. He combined his generic ass rapping with EDM and Techno and slapped a bunch of other shit together. It certainly is experimental, and like most experiments, it fails. This hypothesis aged like milk.
babygirl was the first sign this album was not going to go well. "I don't have any type beats," he says, and his lead single was a ... read more
For me, Yeezus is such an interesting case.
Kanye had left his MBDTF era and ended it with up to that point, his most underwhelming album, the collab with JAŸ-Z. So, you'd expect a return to form for him. But instead, he decided to make an industrial Hip Hop album. And my feeling on Yeezus are... something.
This is when the antisemitism and self-centeredness of Kanye/Ye became obvious. Yeezus is just so obvious. The music videos, especially BLACKKK SKKKINHEAD. That music video still ... read more
Eh, this album is disposable as hell.
I will get this out the way. The production in this album sells HARD. Most of these songs sound like basic Hip Hop/Pop copyright free instrumentals or they are mind-numbingly generic. But when the production gets some flavor, the project picks up from there. These songs also keep getting longer, which, why? I have no issue with long songs, but Drake is not an engaging enough guy to last on 7 minute tracks like he doing a drill. Additionally, tons of this ... read more
In anticipation to Iceman, I will review all of Drake's albums as a Drake hater. Let's go!
Now remember how I just said I'm a Drake hater? Yeah, that doesn't apply for this mixtape. I honestly do think this is such an underrated mixtape. Some really pleasing tracks, I like this way more than other Drake albums. But, there are most definitely some low points. Unstoppable is a really annoying song. Bad production, very uninteresting bars, and such a boring flow. But not to ... read more
Oh my god. Look I wasn't the biggest fan of Panic! At The Disco besides some songs that are somewhat nostalgic to me. But oh my lord, this is some of the worst Pop Rock I've heard. How did these critic sites even THINK this was good. This isn't even Pop Rock, it's more Indie Glam Rock, whatever that is. How did every song sound so identical to one another. Easily a Top 50 Worst albums I've ever heard. Holy shit this is ass. Also, this has gotta be one of the worst vocal ... read more
DAMN. is Kendrick's Lamar highest selling and most streamed project... which is sad, the is my personal least favorite Kendrick album. This album follows Kendrick trying to find out if he'll be weak or wicked and finding out he's an Israelite and thus, is cursed. I'm not religious so I won't argue whether I agree that self-proclaimed Israelites are indeed cursed. The songs all swap from weak songs to wicked songs. So BLOOD. is weak because... he fucking dies on the ... read more
Wow. Just wow.
I don't want to explain Samantha's story. It is one she herself should be the one to tell and not something a recap of her story should explain.
My rating stems a lot from more of deep experiences. I have never had the best mental health. Not anything worse Sam could have experienced but I feel a sort of connection through the album. Philautia is the true start of the album where it follows Sam trying to find something to love herself. It follows more of a nature ... read more
I kept getting recommended this album for some reason, so I bit the bullet and listened. Oh my lord this album was heat. There isn't a theme so I sadly can't go really in depth about this album but everything about is done right. No I.D.'s beats are so well produced. Westside Bound Pt. 4 is one of my favorite tracks from Saba. The high energy works well with him and the beat switch is SO GOOD. Yeah, there isn't much to go in depth about. This is just Saba having fun with No ... read more
Eh?
Boldy James and Rome Streetz are some of the best underground rappers, and so you'd expect a collab album with the two of them would be an easy slam dunk, as both have outstanding projects, notably Rome Streetz "KISS THE RING" and Bold James "Manger on McNichols." But this project simply comes out alright. The album simply doesn't match the standards these two have already set before. Don't get me wrong, there is a good bit to enjoy about this album, but ... read more
No, I'll take my time.
In 2025, Abel, aka The Weeknd, released his final album and the end of his After Hours trilogy, Hurry Up Tomorrow. I do think this is his 3rd best studio album, but this might be the most disappointing album by Abel for me. I pleasantly enjoyed what I heard, but I know Abel could have done so much better. Wake Me Up and Cry For Me had me so excited listening to this album. Justice killed it with the production, and Cry For Me is such a solid Weeknd song. Then Sao ... read more
Cim Jarrey goes hard, I won't lie.
After the astronomical success of Abel's previous LP, After Hours, he returned for his sequel and the Purgatory phase of his After Hours trilogy. And yeah, this is a downgrade compared to the consistency and heights of After Hours, but this project is still quite amazing. This is where the plot for the whole trilogy becomes more... unique, to say the least. Abel attempts to further forget the woman in After Hours and almost succumbs to that ... read more
Abel on his Juice WRLD arc with this one.
I only recently decided to go ahead and listen to all of Abel's After Hours Trilogy in full, as I had only heard the major hits off these albums. I am a sucker for synths and bass, and the use of the two distinct sounds works so well for the Las Vegas The Weeknd was attempting to develop. The story/plot/concept is at its most grounded, with Abel attempting to maintain himself after a breakup. How he reminisces a lot on songs such as Hardest To ... read more
This was not really worth the wait. There are some absolutely hard-hitting bangers, such as Ca$ino, House Money, and Circus Circus Free$tyle, that do their job very well. There are truly open and emotional songs such as I am not a Lyricist, Highway 95 pt.2, and No Blame. But my main issues are the romance tracks. Keem, I'm not sorry, these tracks were not it. There is a certain feeling that makes me not really enjoy these tracks. Good Flirts has an embarrassing Kendrick feature where, when ... read more
"The best written song ever made, and I did it in an interesting way."
Shut your racist ass up and go back to obscurity. People complain that Kendrick "talks instead of rapping" on his songs. Kid Rock actually just has a speech. Nobody wants this guy. Everyone rejects him. Stick to the shitty county fair I saw you at once and tried so hard not to laugh at you.
As someone who never heard of Joey Bada$$, but kept getting recommended THIS SPECIFIC ALBUM for some reason, I sucked it up and actually decided to listen to it after it rotted next to Some Rap Song by Earl Sweatshirt. And wow, I didn't know I was missing out on peak. The concept. Phenomenal. The execution. All of these songs ARE BOPS. ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS. Only reason I made it so low is cuz despite it being very political, it still feels like it's trying to please the general ... read more
McKinley is the only rapper that I know that does get better with each project. Jazz Rap is easily one of my favorite genres just cuz the styles compliment each other so well. Main issue with these songs is their length. For how long these songs are, they shouldn't take 100 years to start. For example, protective styles. Like it takes a while to start, and then once the first verse is done, you wait around again. And if he wants to do that, the execution could've been far greater. ... read more
