“IGOR” by Tyler, the Creator
This is the second album from Tyler that I have listen to and the album that in my opinion turned me into a fan of his.
I don’t know what it is about this album that draws me in maybe it is because it is such an easy project to like whether it be because of the genre fusion of neo-funk and soul with a bit of hip hop sprinkled in there as well, the themes of the album being about jealousy, heartbreak and insecurity which most people I feel like ... read more
“Currents” by Tame Impala
My first real exposure to Tame Impala’s music and I found myself a massive fan of this album. Firstly the psychedelic aspect of the album I absolutely love (I’ve been trying to get into Psychedelic music because I think it is an interesting genre) and although I do think some songs can sound the same the overall feel I get from this album is very positive and I do fully intend on checking out their other projects.

"Can We Hang Out Sometime?" By Good Kid
This was kinda my introduction to Good Kid and the bands music although I'm not completely in the dark I have heard a few snippets here and there but that is pretty much it. I was interested in this album because of of their song "Cicada" which had popped up in my feed a few times and i like the sound of it.
However this album was really enjoyable overall and just a fun project. I do wish it was a little longer considering it is ... read more
“Infinity on High” By Fall Out Boy
For what it is this is a fine emo rock album. I don’t really think this genre of like punk is quite for me and yeah I don’t really have anything else to say there isn’t much for me to say if I am being honest it is just a fine album. However, I do think it picks up in the last 4 tracks. I do think I am just not emo enough for this album. Although I am willing to listen to more albums from Fall Out Boy.

"Play Me" by Kim Gordon
I genuinely have no words other than other ways to describe how awful this album is...
It is one of the most annoying listens I have ever had. I have never listened to a Kim Gordon album before but if this is what they are like then I don't think I will be returning to their music any time soon unless something catches my attention. Genuinely one of if not the worst album I have heard this year so far. My main problem with this album is that the ... read more
“Blonde” / “Blond” by Frank Ocean
A massive overall improvement over Channel Orange in my opinion. While listening to this album I feel like I could literally hear the emotion in Frank while the songs progressed. This is an alternative R&B album that feels oddly comforting in some ways. While I didn’t understand the hype for Channel Orange I can fully see the hype and appeal for this album. The slow instrumentals and the vocals from Frank to the lyrics about ... read more
“Ballonerism” by Mac Miller
The lastest posthumous album by Mac Miller and the first album of his I have listened to. This was a very gentle jazz rap and neo-soul project by Mac and his estate. While listening to this album I feel like I could feel the passion Mac had for his music. If his other projects are like this I think I might have been missing out.

"WORST GIRL IN AMERICA" By Slayyyter
I don't think this album is for me personally. For me most of the songs have just too much going on especially in the instrumentals. I also went into this album completely blind because I have not listened to any of the singles they have released. I also just want to say I don't hate this album but I don't love it either. I like some of the songs that have a lot less going on such as 'OLD TECHNOLOGY'. I do see the appeal ... read more
”Gorillaz” by Gorillaz
First of all happy 25th anniversary to the debut album of one of the greatest bands ever.
For what it is as a debut album it is a really good attempt at it from Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett for the start of the band Gorillaz. The production while simple in some cases is really effective across the entire album although it can get a tad repetitive from time to time.

"HEAVEN ON EARTH!" By SSJ DAKI
I was introduced to Daki through ISSBROKIE, and I saw they had an album out, so I decided to check it out. I went into this album knowing almost nothing about Daki's music but after this I am looking forward for their future releases because this was a surprisingly good listen. The instrumentals on this can go so hard along with Dakis flows, voice and lyrics combinate for a really intense listen in the first few track then they kind of throw a ... read more
“Ca$ino” by Baby Keem
This is the second album from Baby Keem and the first project I’ve listened to. This album gave me a positive first impression of if I am being honest. The pure emotion is some of the songs and the hard hitting beats and lyrics of this album makes this for an enjoyable listen.

"Tickets to my downfall" by Machine Gun Kelly
Boring... Thats the best way I can describe this album just boring... this was MGK's transition into Pop Punk and granted I haven't listened to any of this "rap" records so I can't really say if this is better than his rap career but this there are some tracks on here that I don't mind purely for the instrumentals being actually decent but its just MGK that kinda spoils it.

"20 Years From Now" By David Kushner
Kushner on this project has gone in a slightly different route he took on his debut album "The Dichotomy" and honestly it is nice.
With it only being 7 tracks long and 20 mins long it really is "Short but Sweet". Along with the few singles he dropped beforehand made for a very pleasant listen.

"Rebel" by EsDeeKid
I am just gonna start this review of by saying... I don't this dudes music is for me. Some of the songs are fine but it just feels a bit too empty (It is hard for me to describe it properly). I do see some potential and if and when EsDeeKid releases his debut album I would probably give it a listen because I do see the appeal but this Mixtape is just not for me if I am being honest.

"Exodus" by Bob Marley & The Wailers
This is the first album of reggae music I have listen in my life (I think so anyways) and I was really not disappointed. This is quite possible the most feel good album I have ever heard. From the rich instrumentals to Bob Marleys voice this is one of the most must hear albums ever in my opinion.

"POST HUMAN: NeX GEn" By Bring Me The Horizon
Event though I am not this biggest fan of Metal music (Because I can get overwhelmed if something gets too loud) I am always willing to give metal albums a try. This album for me was a bit of a mixed bag like there were some actually good songs on here but then quite a few of the songs were just not for me. I will admit I do see the appeal for this album and why people love it but most of the tracks on here just leave me feeling confused ... read more
"King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2" by Denzel Curry
On this project/mixtape Denzel bring some of the most aggressive rapping I have heard in a bit. The hard hitting production of this album to the features to Denzel's lyrics and flows makes this mixtape a really good listen. I don't really know what else I am able to say tbh... This was a really good project from Denzel.

What the actual hell is this album... no like seriously I am actually asking What the hell were they thinking when they made this album. I like some of the Black Eyed Peas songs but... I bet a song like "Lets get it started" can literally clear this entire album. They tried to make a dance-latin-pop album but this is such a failure at what it is trying to do. "The Romantic" By Bruno Mars
This is Bruno's first solo project in around 10 years and the second Bruno Mars album I have listened to. He is giving us a pop soul/disco album that is quite a mixed bag. In my opinion, I think Bruno really does have the capabilities to make an album with this blend of genres. I think this was a good attempt at it. I think if he is able to just refine his sound just a little bit he might be able to make a really good pop soul/disco album. ... read more
