the freshest Marina has sounded on a project so far. Production may be a little aggressive on the ears if you're not used/grow tired of the electro/synthpop but overall, it's a solid marina project that reestablishes her as an artist to keep on your radar.
An absolutely stunning debut project. I didn't really need to listen to the full record to make up my mind considering the five singles we've heard *PRE-RELEASE*. Addison, Elvira, and Luka Kloser are a dangerous trio. I hope to see them prosper and create more in the future.
This is such a beautiful track. The instrumental intro already had me tearing up, but her vocal delivery truly sealed my fate. This is a powerful ballad of love and fear of loss. This may just be my song of the year.
walk of fame kinda best song ever created...?
87 --> 100
This a modern classic.
for its time, fine! now that its aged... bland.
butterflies and perfect day still kinda hit though so those tracks alone: 6.7
that moment when the artist effects people perception of the music.
in all seriousness, this project isn't great, it's hardly good. the production is mostly fine, nothing too outstanding. This is the definition of mid meets mid on a mid middy day. i don't hate it, most of it is just so bland that there's not much going on here. 'Rewired' shows the most potential of control over her sound, but with the amount of bloating on this album, i feel it would've ... read more
people saw a darkskin woman sing a song about a *presumably* white man choosing patriotism to fuel his unjust reason of hatred over loving her openly and freely, and took this as her *checks notes* pushing for love and patriotism to co-exist??? This is quite literally a criticism of past AND current social standings in how people are willing to be complicit and stand for a culture that doesn't believe in the minority of any kind, and uses that as an excuse because they are afraid to live ... read more
verse was fine, doesn't really change much about the song, everyone rating this low just hates doechii fr.
This is how you debut! this was my first FULL introduction to f5ve, having come across their punchy remix of 'UFO' featuring Dorian Electra & Count Baldor. They are exciting and exactly what I feel is missing in most current J-Pop, innovation. These girls are not scared to be camp, weird, or referential, and absolutely own it! They believe in themselves, and it shows in their performance, bravo !
its nothing new, nothing super special, but it does what it's good at really well. A well packaged and cohesive debut ep by someone who seems to have insane potential.
Kali decided to give us her most intimate, soft, and honest project to date, and it shows the level of introspection she's experiencing at this current point in her career, and life. This album gives me the same warmth I felt listening to her debut for the first time, and I believe that this will age beautifully in her discography. excellent work.
This was a clean mixtape! I wouldn't be too upset if this were an album, super cohesive, very bouncy, a PinkPantheress classic. An honest love letter to sampling and a true classic in the modern digital age. I see this being one of the most important records signifying the 2020s.
This is low-key a summer album, and I loooooooove summer albums. It's an excellent debut by an exciting artist I've been following for quite some time, and I can't wait for what's next for him.
