from the moment i hit play i knew that this was gonna be my favorite or second favorite beach house album. the opener is sooooo good. it has this really thick dreamy and hazy sound that sucks you in immediately. the whole album kind of continues that honestly. the synth work and mixing on this album is phenomenal. i feel like they took what they experimented and tried on depression cherry and thank your lucky stars and perfected it and brought it up to 11. amazing stuff from beach house, i ... read more
m b v takes on like a moodier more heavy vibe and i really mess with it. all of the songs are a lot more dreamy than the songs on loveless and you can really just turn it up and drown in this album. some of the songs are a little weak but just by a little. overall amazing album. my favorites are either she found now or who sees you.
slowdive was on some realsauce back in 91. this whole listen was so pleasing. the sounds are so soft and clean and dreamy, it felt like a rainy day where everything gets clean and the air feels nice. really solid dream pop/shoegaze stuff, i love the layers of guitars and synths. my favorite song on this is Waves for sure.
