Mel's vocals ruin this EP for me. The instrumentals are good, but Mel's vocals are drowned in so much autotune and effects I can hear it breaking in the middle of a song. They're also just mixed way too loud. If they were more in the back of the mix they would likely be more tolerable for me. While I'm happy that they came together and clearly had a lot of fun, the result was disappointing.

Best Track: Take Flight, Earth-Noid!
Worst Track: Felt Sentient, Might Delete

Far from JID's best but, like, it's a JID album, so it's still really damn good.

Best track: WRK
Worst track: What We On

Flume and JPEGMAFIA mess around a little and the results are decent. However, Track 1 felt like it was *only* messing around and there was barely a song underneath it. Should've just stayed in the studio. Overall a pretty fun, but not that special EP.

Best track: The Ocean Is Fake
Worst track: Track 1

A good opening stretch, but from track 5 onwards it's a continous downward slope. There are some sparks here and there, but it never gets back to the highs of the first 4 tracks, resulting in an album that would've been better as an EP.

10-4-2026 edit: Sounds perfectly fine just like the first EP. Only song I didn't like was PITS cuz its instrumental sounded too noisy.

I'm... very confused. I don't even know if I like this or not. The beat is great, but the weird vocals throw me off... I like the vibe though. Not worth a 24 tho, that's too harsh.

Edit: the movie looks like shit, I most likely will not watch it, but I still think the song is fine.

Hearing Fantano's opinion on this was honestly offensive. Like, I get that he dislikes it, but to call it *illegal* and saying that anyone who likes it has the blandest taste possible is a step too far. It's okay if you dislike it, but don't go harrassing people for liking something you don't.
