This is a filler album. I guarantee if you buy this vinyl you will never spin it. It will just sit in your collection as a pretty album cover that it just is.
No Reply & Eight Days a Week are decent tracks, but I don't listen to them that much.
No Reply though is a very impressive track, it does remind me of Rubber Soul, but the song also is kinda lacking.
Then there's a whole lot of covers which are nice but there's not much else to say about it.
My rating of this album has deteriorated a lot since the first time I listened to it nearly a decade ago.
The reason being is that a lot of the songs are generally just mid and forgettable. There are a few good songs I guess, but the general mediocrity puts this album in a vibe that I want to avoid. This might be the first Beatles record you listen to, the one you remember. For others, they become Beatles fanatics; they listen to all the albums in succession. They might make the decision that Revolver is better, or Sgt. Pepper, or White, but after a lot of time and concensus they will realize that this is their best album. I think its okay, I dont really care about what language u want to sing in I guess, but it sounds fine it could def grow on me.
Im not sure if im the only one but they def seem to be following the "pop trend" and looking and sounding a lil more like newjeans in hteir own way and I dont know if its a direction they should pursue but lets see.
