Blu & Exile are gonna go down as one of the best duos ever in Hip Hop period. Their output is pure quality every single time. A lot of enjoyable cuts + introspection what you expect from Blu himself
When Conway is locked in like this, he's one of the most entertaining rappers in the game active. He's just so inconsistent now. Similar to majority of Griselda. Alc project is good and entertaining all around, expect witty rapping and ethereal grimey production simple
The only thing I'm gonna input for this review because I wanted to actually give a thought out review but it was so underwhelming all around the board + Plutoski is genuinely one of the worst songs I've heard this year. I'll leave it there
This album showcased alot of promise. There was a lot of great cuts on here from her singing performance to some little hints of some polished songs writing. What needs to be worked on for the foreseeable future is having finished well thought out ideas. Also since this album was more of a prove it type deal, that she should have more of a focused sequencing tracklist. It's not solely for the deal of creating a story but again, being able to be more creative and exploring with ones ... read more
I can say this is one of my top fav albums of the year. The fusions of electronic and hyper pop was so amazing. The sequencing of the album was very potent and meticulous. Her performances throughout was consistent and vibrant. There's not one track where I completely checked out or didn't care. There's so many songs I can say this is my favorite. Geez. Never expected an album that gotten so much positive rep from the general music community public to actually live up to it on ... read more
This album should've been way better. Especially with the few singles and some of the features runs he went on. Too inconsistent for me to enjoy the full listen and not enough tracks for me to consistently go back too. Blehhhh this was underwhelming, although I liked some of the content matter. This is like the JCole effect for me where he doesn't seem to have a consistent source of energy to rap at a higher level/stake throughout the tracks. It's always either so scattered or ... read more
Ummmmmmmm. Yeah... Let's say the second half is much better than the first by a good margin. Not enough to save this album justice. The song with Uzi is genuinely one of the worst songs I've heard this year
This was a dope mixtape, it's a lot of passionate rapping and the delivery on them was ridiculous. And she mixes up with rapping with some singing/harmonizing which was also pretty good. So talented. Alot of stuff I took away and a lot of interesting themes. Might need to take my time with how I review this but it's very very good for a first full length project
Another smooth listen, her writing is just as good as it has been in the past and the soundscape feels like summer. It's good stuff, exceeded my expectations for an album experience going into her stuff
All I can really say to this is this is one of the most smoothest first listens I've had this year to a project. It feels so effortless yet she puts in a lot of work to her craft with how better even she's gotten from her last project
He's done it again!! Now he doesn't have to be under Earl Sweatshirt wing. He had some instances earlier works where he sounded or the cadence is on the cusps of Earl but his flow and cadence is so raw and expressive to him that it's impossible to just put him on that copy cat Earl to him because he's distinctive between him and his other peers as well. What a project. The soundscape was also super eerie and dark which is the whole premise given the cover
Good project overall. There's still times where he drags out the skits, has a lyrical miracle showdown like prime example City in the Lights and has some corny punches. Overall he really made a good enough project where it shows that he's capable of making good music, he just has to focus and take time piecing it together
I never seen a more lackluster effort in create an album experience than this one. In fact this was never meant to be an experience. This is just going to show that Ye is never gonna make another consistent album with at least decent sequencing again
Decent album, I like some of the features and some of his wordplay on some cuts. Overall a step down from Michael, which seems intentional. And he has some questionable bars like with the Travis subliminal?? There's no reason to do all that tbh. Overall not a project I'm going back to aside from a song or two
Easily my favorite project from him to date. His first two albums was him exploring his sound and there was no sense of direction nor comfortability. He was trying many different sounds and cadences. Here he's more mature and sincere with sound and his ability to create these uplifting choruses was so crisp. I can't wait to go back to some of these cuts because it has some of my fav music to date off first listen
I like this followup, it's short and straight to the point although I wish some of the tracks were longer and more focused on a particular direction. However this was also an album that had to be made without a potent direction because he got dropped from Def Jam, so I can't fully fault him. He still does his thing and the replay value is very nice. His writing is also very good too
This album has some crazy interesting tracks. From his sample chopping to the layering of instrumentations. Some of the mixing here was purposely made weird and unhinged, which doesn't always make for good music. However in this case Peggy does enough layering on musical cuts that it overshadows / defines his raw sound and entire personality. Denzel and Vince, who were the only features, were so awesome here, I need Vince on more Peggy cuts and Denzel never misses with Peggy too. This will ... read more
Alot of car/speaker banger songs. That's all I can really put into it. Paying homage to the three six mafia sound and dirty south. Pretty good add to his diverse discography
