Just ran into this album, and left crying. This emotional prog record may not be over the top, or toss different genres together; but that's okay. The songs are crafted in such a way that 7 minutes feel full and never leave you waiting for a specific section its been leading up to.
I really expected more experimental stuff the last two singles, but so far I’ve been kinda disappointed. Specter and now Dying to Love are.. fine? But that’s not to say there’s no enjoyment to be had. If you like the current sound of Bad Omens you will be right at home. If you expected something different, you’ll be nothing short of disappointed.
“HE FOCKIN LEFT THE BAND”
I think it’s a requirement to watch the ‘Some Kind of Monster’ documentary before jumping into this album. Although from the record alone you can tell that this was made with a very weird energy. This was Metallica at their lowest, and the documentary amplifies that. I won’t get into the details, as there is the doc and plenty of YouTube videos that talk about it.

This album is so fun. Twist and turns that flow naturally and some heavy riffs that are sprinkled everywhere in this record. Every listen you can find something new. This band will forever be on my Mount Rushmore.
