I'm just now finding out this album is hated. I don't really see why though. Especially when people say Headstrong is the only good song on the entire album. There are literally 8 different hooks on this album IMO and it is a pretty good album, especially in terms of instruments. When I heard the first single from this project titled "Little Bit of Sun" I knew from my first listen that they were obviously going to make an album that would be pretty much reminiscing about the 90s. Once the album came out my prediction was correct BUT that's not a bad thing whatsoever. Before I start I am rating this for the original CD release which was 14 songs instead of 16
With that being said it’s time we be honest guys. Up in the Attic is by far their best album. Yes, I am not joking! You can hate me all you want but it’s the truth. This album feels like a fucking classic that everyone slept on. Tracks 1-6 are some of the most memorable and catchiest songs Alien Ant Farm has ever put together. This album as a sequel to the acclaimed ANThology feels just a little less good then the first. I do love how different they got on certain tracks and overall feel more creative. Yet I just enjoyed the atmosphere and experience ANThology gave instead. The track goodbye is by far one of their best songs they’ve made to me and stands out immensely. The same tho can not be said for Glow however which is actually just so generic and boring to me and is especially their worst song
