Despite being a cloud rap fanatic, this is my first time listening [2023] to what is largely considered the subgenre's first project (but only if we ignore Viper's experimental tapes). It's weird. I haven't felt this conflicted over a first listen to Drake since Views. Maybe it's because I'm genuinely in shock that the album is actually good after having to listen to a decade of projects I dislike or hate, so my rating is truthfully reluctant. i remember she sent me track#2 once and now i wish i paid more attention to the lyrics. there is relatable content throughout this whole album that is backed by pleasant instrumentals.
