I won't lie there were some parts I kinda spaced out while listening, but after actually sitting down and listening I can say it's alright. Kendrick bars are pretty good, and the project isn't bad aside from a few production choices here and there.
Favorite Track: Like That
A solid album. Production hits all the right spots for me, the interludes and transitions flow together nicely as well. I have a major appreciation for how weird this is.
Favorite track: The Thing
DAMN, this is worse than Lil Dicky, but that's a really close line.
Trippie could've saved this project, but it felt as though mgk was too on top of saying what he wanted to say just to say it, not even to express his true feelings.
Favorite track: n/a
The first album from Kim Gordon was really good.
A lot of the writing and vocal performances here just doesn't hit the same.
Favorite track: The Candy House
I don't even know how to review this. ADHD was okay, this just ain't it.
Favorite track: Sticks & Stones
I've never been a huge fan of MGMT, but this album is definitely my favorite to come from them.
Favorite track: Bubblegum Dog
This is probably my favorite Ariana project to date.
Favorite track: yes, and?
A beautiful listening experience, and considering it's made by a user of this website with how much attention has been on it, it's something to be proud of.
Favorite track: Sheep Theme
The synth tracks are really nice to listen to, especially Child and Fantasma.
Lowkey trap from MIKE was not on my 2024 bingo, but I'm here for it.
Favorite track: Two Door
The bass is definitely the best part of this project.
Favorite track: Beyond the Chemical Doorway
I've been listening to Allie X since the pandemic, so seeing this album come out had me excited beyond belief.
I really liked her 2020 project, but I love this one.
The title track has an addictive bassline that also gets translated to guitar, and that was enough to make me fall in love at the start.
'Off With Her Tits' is written like a classic storytelling song, and the vocals are catchy as hell.
I'm not sure who's sleeping on Allie X (see track 8 title) but they need to get on ... read more
NITRO MEGA is an album.
As tempting as it is to leave that as the review, I can't.
WILLIS is the lowest rated track, and for good reason. I was desperately waiting for it to end.
While I would say that I think the songs sound better here han the original INSANO, the energy just isn't there.
INSANO at least held my attention for a majority of the project.
Favorite track: WIN OR LOSE
This is a comfort album for me.
I remember I heard this the day it came out, and I was staying in a homeless shelter.
Thankfully, I'm not there anymore, but this album helped me get through that experience.
Favorite track: onlyyou
If there's anything I've noticed with the more recent output from Quadeca, it's that a lot of the parts of the music that I love only comes in late into the track, or somewhere in the middle.
I'm a sucker for the drums and glitch effects, which is the thing I loved the most about FMTY, which isn't a perfect album either. The only exception amongst this list for me was 'GUIDE DOG.'
Another thing I've noticed is that there's a lot going on in the mix, and sometimes it's just a little bit hard to ... read more
A dude I met a long time ago from Music Amino recommended this to me and it became one of my all time favorite albums.
Favorite track: Deliberation
There's no denying that I like most of what's present on this album, from the distortion to the glitches.
However, somewhere towards the middle and the end, it gets exhausting, and I think that comes down to how many tracks there are.
Also, is it just me or did Future sound real quiet during his verse?
Edit: yea, I still believe one or two of the tracks could be taken out, but it's a pretty decent experience.
