Soft, introspective, and delightfully understated. The multiple perspectives of a small party [thankfully] dodge cringe territory and instead delve into how each set of lenses can color even simple events
Sexy songs that feel more creepy than sexy.
Shout outs to all the weirdos in the club
Feels a bit too much like top 40s pop. A few bangers here and there, but it's missing the hyperpop catchiness of glaive's earlier work
Pleasant, older, more restrained. I think it benefits from quiet relistens
Loud, brash, and surprisingly interesting drum+guitar riffs. IMO, there's a teeny bit of noise influence from the mixing
Soulful and sexy. Not my cup of tea, but i appreciate the artistry behind it
It's fun and fairly sanitized in its mixing. Sorta reminds me of Weezer, weirdly
Hot take: I really enjoyed how wild, weird, and not in the spirit of the original these covers were. If I wanted a similar vibe, I'd listen to the originals.
I really enjoyed this. The 10 interludes were a bold choice, and i think they pass by quickly enough to not ruin the flow. The songs themselves are very vibey -- like a mixture of joji and Jamie XX. Lots of lofi bangers.
Great start with a lot of potential. A little basic in the production, but she's got hooks and some clever song structures.
The rapping lacks specificity. A lot of "we're going to rise up and get what we deserve" without putting a personal spin. It could be about anyone, frankly.
Beat selection goes hard and hanumankind has some very cool flows. Just wish there was more beyond the surface.
Great beat selection with very underwhelming rapping. I dont mind mumble rapping, but i do have a problem when the rapper doesn't switch it up.... over 33(!) songs. Tbh, MIKE just may not be for me
I really liked this; probably a little boosted because I had the misfortune of listening to Jack Harlow's Pop RnB album before this lol.
I think it's got some very innovative mixtures between chamber pop and Alternative R&B. Choker has a mild Frank Ocean vibe (lesser so in this album -- but what happens when you mix in Imogen Heap and Brockhampton (more so Ginger) vibes? Pretty cool stuff. Glad to see him come back -- thought he disappeared after his last one.
This is great! Vibey alt-country vibes; reminds me a little bit of Black Country, New Road's first album with a little less experimentation. Wish it were longer
