The humor/songwriting and a lot of the guitar tones are great throughout, but a lot of it blends together tonally

I don't think there's anything here that stands out enough to become a favorite but the album as a whole at least holds my attention

The earlier Shins is kind of exhausting, but this is perfectly balanced.

The title track is very Broken Bells-ish, specifically the stuff on Into the Blue
