Maybe I am inherently miserable, but I absolutely adored her previous album, the deluxe edition in particular I believed to be a drastic and refreshing feat in songwriting, consisting of gorgeous imagery, intricate messages and allusions that would send you down rabbit holes for days. She's sassy, she's sensational, she's Sabrina! “Girl, so confusing” is an unironically accurate and quintessential depiction of contemporary female relationships. Yes I want to smash my ex best friend’s head into a wall for how she treated me, but then again maybe we could work it out on the remix.
